The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, July 6 Recap – Chelsea’s Secret Recording – Adam Onto Dr. Hedges – Amanda Tricks Naya

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 6, reveals that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will score a secret recording while Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) suspects Dr. Hedges (Michael Bofshever). Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will also trick Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey), so here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.

At Chelsea’s psychiatric facility, she’ll tell Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) about Adam taking Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to live at the ranch.

Chelsea will insist that Adam’s trying to poison her son against her with Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) help, but Chloe will hint that maybe Chelsea’s blowing this out of proportion.

Nevertheless, Chelsea will stand by her concerns and will think she has to force Dr. Hedges hand to get out of there. She’ll have a new plan, but she’ll need one thing from Chloe to pull it off.

Later, Dr. Hedges will return to Chelsea’s room after being summoned. Chelsea will rant and get the doc to discuss how he works for Victor, but he won’t think anyone would believe a mental patient like her.

However, Chelsea will disagree and pull out a cell phone that Chloe left behind. She’ll reveal that her friend now has it on the cloud and could send it to the medical board.

Chelsea will warn Dr. Hedges that he’s going to defy Victor’s orders, declare her healthy and have her discharged immediately. She’ll think Dr. Hedges values his career, reputation and freedom too much to turn her down.

After making love to Victoria, Ashland will suggest going to Society. He’ll assure Victoria that he’s feeling up to it and isn’t afraid of prying eyes.

Meanwhile, Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) will pop in Society to say a quick goodbye to Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). He’ll also run into Adam, but he’ll rush out without having much of a conversation.

Once Stitch is gone, Abby will reflect on how Adam once saved Stitch from a fire.

Abby will talk about the two Adams – the one Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) justifiably hates and the one who saved Stitch as well as Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster).

Adam will suggest he gets off on making people like Abby guess which one they’re going to get, so that answer won’t surprise her.

Adam will eventually start over and make it clear that he’s genuinely trying to stay on the right path. Soon after, Ashland and Victoria will arrive.

That’ll lead to Abby cornering Victoria alone to see what the nature of her relationship with Ashland is, but Victoria will insist they’re just friends.

As for the topic of Ashland’s health, Victoria will assure Abby that she shouldn’t believe everything she reads.

Abby will admit she’s rooting for Victoria to be happy and in love, but Victoria will think they’re getting ahead of themselves.

When Adam speaks with Ashland and Victoria, Ashland will suddenly struggle to catch his breath.

Ashland will get a call and leave the room to take it, so that’ll give Adam a chance to talk to Victoria alone. “Well, he seems fine to me,” Adam will sarcastically suggest.

Victoria will counter that a little shortness of breath is no reason to sound the alarm. She’ll also doubt this new version of Adam will stick around, but he’ll argue that he likes the life he’s building for himself now.

Adam will express concern for Victoria since he sees her new relationship is more than transactional. He’ll wonder if Victoria has prepared herself for the heartbreak of losing Ashland.

Victoria will reiterate how she doesn’t trust Adam and will acknowledge that he’s always going to be her enemy.

Once Ashland rejoins them, Adam will suggest a getaway might be nice – perhaps in LA. He’ll argue that it could be just what the doctor ordered and then saunter out.

Once Ashland is back in his suite with Victoria, he’ll talk about his desire to make this merger happen before he’s too weak to see it through.

Ashland will also fret over his personal relationship with Victoria and how he’s creating an unnecessary complication for her. He’ll point out that he’s dying and will feel like it’s unfair to pull her closer.

Back with Adam, he’ll deliver updates to Victor on his run-in with Ashland. There’ll be no doubt in Adam’s mind that the health news about Ashland is true.

Adam will want to make a move since Victoria is clearly planning one of her own. Suddenly, Dr. Hedges will show up wanting to speak with Victor.

Adam will assume this is about Chelsea and will feel like maybe there’s something Dr. Hedges doesn’t want him to know. He’ll angrily demand to know what’s going on with Chelsea.

In the park, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will be out for a run when she runs into Stitch again. Stitch will end up suggesting the exercise program of a doctor he knows, but Mariah will politely decline.

After Stitch apologizes for mansplaining Mariah’s pregnancy to her, they’ll share a laugh before Mariah takes off. Stitch will stand there with a strange look on his face in the aftermath of this chat.

At Crimson Lights, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will crack a shellfish joke at the table with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines).

Moses will warn Nate not to since he could’ve died the day he had his allergic reaction.

After Moses admits to having nightmares, Devon and Nate will grow worried about him.

When Faith pops up and takes Moses back to the patio, he’ll open up about not being so sure medicine is the right career path anymore.

Moses will be afraid his mom will want him to come home if he’s not studying under Nate, so Faith will admit she’d be bummed if that happened.

In Amanda’s suite, she’ll be glad Naya’s out on bail and has agreed to let Amanda represent her. Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will also be there so they can strategize.

Unfortunately, Naya will only go for the idea if Amanda uses the defense strategy Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) has in mind.

Naya will stand by her claims that she had Richard Nealon killed, but Amanda will argue that no one in that room believes it. She’ll push Naya to mount a defense based on the truth – and Imani will agree that’s the right call.

When Naya keeps pushing back, Amanda will lash out at her. “Stop this right now, Mom!” Amanda will declare. It’ll leave Naya surprised and touched since Amanda has never called her “Mom” before.

Amanda will feel like as Naya’s daughter, she has a duty to protect her. Amanda will want Naya to renounce her confession, but Naya will get agitated and rant about how there’s no proof against Sutton.

Amanda will argue that if the proof exists and it’ll keep Naya out of prison, then she’s going to find it.

She’ll think Naya can provide more damning details, but Naya will refuse to accept Amanda’s help unless she plays by Sutton’s rules.

With a little nudge from Imani, Amanda will finally relent and suggest that maybe there are other legal strategies for an acquittal – though she’ll warn it won’t be easy.

After Naya thanks Amanda and leaves, Imani will call her sister out for lying. She won’t think Amanda has any intention of going along with Naya’s demands, so Amanda will admit she’s going to make Sutton pay.

After Devon makes plans to have drinks with Nate and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), he’ll head to Amanda’s suite to fill her in since she’s invited, too.

Devon will find out Imani intends to help Amanda with Naya’s defense, so he’ll think they’re going to be a formidable team.

When Amanda hears about the drink invitation, she’ll wonder if Imani can tag along. Devon will insist that tonight is about family and that’s what they are, so Imani and Amanda will exchange smiles.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda will work hard to make sure Sutton goes down, but some Y&R shockers are still to come! CDL will have other great Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so pop back in soon.
