General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) could spot Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in New York City and keep Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) secret after putting the Nixon Falls puzzle together. Let’s consider how and why GH writers might bring Valentin in the loop on the truth.
Nina just found out a whopper of a secret involving Valentin. She now knows Valentin is being duped about that precious baby girl he loves so much.
“Bailey Quartermaine” never really existed since Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) lied about her pregnancy from the get-go.
Valentin is falling more in love with ”Bailey” every day, but she isn’t his daughter at all.
Nina tried to convince Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) to come clean to Valentin, who would understand the need to protect Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) from Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
However, Maxie doesn’t want to take the risk – and that means Valentin will have to stay in the dark since Nina made a promise she refuses to break.
Nina’s putting her loyalty to Maxie over her loyalty to Valentin, so that’s a choice she’ll have to live with once the truth eventually comes out.
It’s also why it’d be interesting for Valentin to learn a secret related to Nina. Valentin could make a different choice by putting his loyalty to Nina above all else.
Just because Valentin has moved on doesn’t mean he’d rat Nina out if he knew the real Nixon Falls story.
Based on upcoming spoilers, there’s nothing to indicate that Anna will spot Sonny or learn anything that ties in with “Mike” during this trip.
Anna’s storyline will proceed as usual, but what about Valentin? That remains a question mark since not many details are known about what’s next for him.
Valentin could spy Sonny and do some eavesdropping since they’re at New York Methodist Hospital.
It’d be easy for Valentin to listen in on a conversation between Sonny and Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) or even talk to “Mike” himself.
All it would take is for “Mike” to bring up his amnesia along with Nina’s name and Nixon Falls.
Valentin could put everything together and decide to keep Sonny’s survival a secret for Nina. He could protect Nina and put her happiness first.
If Valentin relayed the news of what he knew to Nina and promised her secret would be safe, can you imagine how much she’d squirm?
Nina would be in a tight spot since she’s withholding the truth about “Bailey” from Valentin. She’d battle guilt over her own disloyalty while Valentin stayed loyal to her.
This could also put Valentin in a position to retaliate down the road.
Valentin would have some serious ammo to use against Nina after he found out about her “Bailey” betrayal. This feels like it’d be a great story twist if GH writers are willing to take advantage of it.
