The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 11, tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) mysterious new Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) message will throw her for a loop. Meanwhile, Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) family reunion plot will worry Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), so let’s talk about all the drama that’s brewing.
For starters, a new text will arrive that leaves Abby more puzzled than ever. It’ll be another cryptic message to mull over – one that’s supposedly from Mariah.
It’s obvious the kidnapper has been sending these messages and trying to avoid the cops’ involvement for as long as possible.
This could be another attempt to delay the inevitable and throw Abby off the trail.
There’s a good chance Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) is the one who’s holding Mariah captive and misleading all her loved ones, but it may take some time before he gets caught.
Until then, Mariah will keep hoping for a way out of this jam. Y&R fans can expect Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) to pop up for some scenes with Mariah in captivity at some point this week.
Naturally, it should be a situation where Mariah imagines or dreams Tessa, but at least she’ll have company in some form!
Regardless, Tessa won’t stop searching for answers until she makes a real reunion happen. Speaking of reunions, Chelsea will work a new angle as she tries to lock in one for herself.
Chelsea’s already been softening toward Adam lately and sees the value in getting back together with Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) father.
That’s why Chelsea will push to attend one of Connor’s lacrosse games with Adam. When Adam responds well to the idea, Chelsea will start gushing over all the fun things they can do as a family.
Adam will soon become uneasy since he doesn’t want to reunite with Chelsea, but she’ll no doubt struggle to take no for an answer.
Finally, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will lean on each other in their time of need.
Phyllis and Jack will share some sweet yet sad moments as they commiserate over losing their beloved children to new Italy plans.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) are sure to have a blast in Milan, but that doesn’t make this any easier for their miserable parents!
Phyllis and Jack will find some mutual support, but could they take this friendship back into romantic territory down the road?
