General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 17, teases that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will deal with Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ (Ingo Rademacher) betrayal while Ava Jerome (Maura West) faces a fiery discovery. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will also get ready for his big reveal, so there’s plenty of action to look forward to.
At home, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will lash out at Jax for the secret recording stunt he just tried to pull.
Jax will ask what choice Carly would’ve made, so it sounds like he’ll reveal he planned to deliver an ultimatum and use the recording as leverage.
Carly will push for details on Jax’s plan and wonder just how low he would’ve stooped. Would Jax have turned Carly into the cops?
Carly may feel like it’s despicable that Jax would even think about sending Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) mother to the slammer.
Carly will be seriously disappointed in Jax, but he’ll feel like desperate times call for desperate measures.
Carly will realize she needs Jason’s help to handle Jax, who’s out of control as far as Carly’s concerned.
However, Jason will do his best to quiet Carly’s fears. He’ll intend to shut down any power struggle before it happens and take care of Jax’s threat as well.
Next, we’ll Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) try to make sense of the phone call she just received.
Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) reached out to Sam since he needs some help, but the call should be cut off soon enough.
Sam will be skeptical despite thinking that Drew’s voice right off the bat. Drew is presumed dead, so Sam may try to tell herself there must be some other explanation.
Nevertheless, Sam won’t be able to shake what she’s heard and will turn to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) for assistance later this week.
In the meantime, a bearded and weary Drew will be seen in a foreign prison.
It seems Drew was able to score a favor or sneak this phone call somehow, but he’ll still be locked in with no way out. Drew will hope Sam can come through on a rescue, but he’ll be trapped for now.
Back in Port Charles, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will get some happy baby updates during their ultrasound appointment.
The doctor will mention a special treat, so this may tie in with hearing the heartbeat or even finding out the baby’s gender.
Twins would be another fun option if GH wants to throw in a twist, but Sasha and Brando will be thrilled as long as they get only positive news.
Ava will also confide in Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), who’ll show compassion and prove she’s a good listener.
It looks like Ava may open up about the death of Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) and how she couldn’t fix their relationship before her daughter was gone forever.
Ava will want Nikolas to keep his own bond with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chaves) intact, but she’ll fear it won’t happen thanks to the rotten trick he’s plotting.
It seems that trick is already well underway at Wyndemere, where strange happenings are already freaking out Spencer, Josslyn, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton).
Fans also saw someone wearing a creepy mask and carrying a knife up on the turret, so things are getting spooky indeed!
Once Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) make it to Spoon Island, they’ll rush in the house and seek answers.
Cameron will have Josslyn by his side as he explains how bizarre the situation’s already gotten.
Of course, Cam won’t realize Nikolas is playing a trick on his son, but everything should soon click into place for Spencer.
General Hospital spoilers say Spencer will be startled when he’s grabbed from behind, but Nikolas should reveal himself once his son’s thoroughly frightened.
Across town, Ava will return to her car and make an alarming discovery of her own since it’ll be consumed by growing flames!
Ava will worry about another threat being out there, but perhaps things aren’t as they seem. That nosy nurse was listening in on Ava’s conversation earlier and may have been the one spying later.
Maybe the nurse will be responsible for going after Ava’s vehicle. She could be entangled in some sort of cover-up if she’s somehow in cahoots with Spencer.
Whatever the case, some major revelations are coming up on the ABC soap! General Hospital spoilers say Nikolas will face backlash for his role in the drama, so stay tuned.
