General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, August 26, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will face a weird problem while Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) needs Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) help. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will also be under some serious Peter August (Wes Ramsey) pressure, so there’ll be some gripping moments in Thursday’s sizzling show.
At the Metro Court, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will reluctantly hand “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) back over to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Maxie’s heart will break all over again, but she’ll focus on Carly’s wedding again and hope it makes her forget the pain for a while.
However, Maxie will notice that Carly seems a little off. During this conversation, Carly will open up about something that feels strange and difficult to understand.
This could involve Carly’s disconnect from Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) now that their trust has been shattered, but it makes more sense for it to involve Carly’s upcoming marriage since Maxie will offer guidance.
Maxie may reassure Carly that it’s normal to have some wedding jitters, especially in Carly’s case.
Carly is still trying to come to grips with the loss of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) – and now she’s marrying her best friend.
Anyone would feel weird in Carly’s shoes, so Maxie may suggest the bride-to-be should cut herself some slack.
Now that Josslyn has witnessed the tension between Jax and Carly for herself, she’ll confide in Jason and wish there was something she could do.
Carly and Jax used to get along really well, so it’ll be hard for Josslyn to see their bond falling apart.
Jason will provide a pep talk and remind Joss that they all love her. That includes her soon-to-be stepdad Jason, so Josslyn will appreciate his comforting words.
Over with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), he’ll get a lovely gift he didn’t see coming.
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) may share some fun camping trip plans with Finn and get him excited even though it isn’t usually his idea of fun.
Speaking of fun, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will have some with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) as they find cause for celebration.
If nothing else, Liesl and Britt can celebrate the former’s romance and the latter’s improvements in the co-chief of staff department.
Whatever the case, Britt and Obrecht need to soak up this chance at mother-daughter bonding while they still can!
Obrecht’s about to get caught up in a dangerous situation and will go missing in the coming episodes.
It turns out Liesl will become part of Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) drama soon, too. Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will remain menacing and will remind Nina of what’s at stake if she spills anything.
Nina will feel overwhelmed since she knows more than she’s telling Peter about Louise. She’ll also know she can’t just keep quiet about the fugitive indefinitely.
At the same time, Nina doesn’t want Peter blabbing about Sonny’s survival and blowing up her life.
That’s why Nina will eventually rope Liesl into all this. Obrecht will be eager to kill Peter once Nina contacts her – and that phone call will happen by the end of the week.
Peter will act like he’s got some big project to work on in Nixon Falls. He’ll get Nina to help him convince Sonny, but we all know “Mike” tends to have a gut feeling about bad guys like Peter.
Something won’t feel right about Peter’s presence in Nixon Falls, so Sonny may resolve to learn more about this shady new guy in town.
Back in PC, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will have a hard time figuring out if somebody’s being serious or not.
Brook Lynn wasn’t happy about Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) giving Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) the document that could prove his claims and turn ELQ upside down.
Brook Lynn may think it has to be some kind of joke when Michael acts like it’s not that big of a deal.
Michael won’t think the world’s going to end just because Austin might get some shares. Maybe the Quartermaines need to lighten up and stop being so darn greedy!
As Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) licks his wounds following his split from Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), he’ll get some support from Finn.
When faced with the question of whether Chase would go back and fix his mistakes, he may not see the point.
If Chase and Willow were meant to be, then they would’ve ended up together.
Chase may think the best thing he can do is keep looking forward. We’ll pass along updates as other GH news rolls in.
General Hospital spoilers say Chase and Brook Lynn could have a steamy romance coming up down the road, so don’t miss the path that takes them there.
