The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of August 30-September 3 teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will have a party invite for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) while Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) finds Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) in crisis. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will also grill Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) about the temptation to reunite with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), so let’s discuss what’s ahead.
First, Adam will decide to do something about his newfound connection to Sally and the attraction developing between them. Y&R fans can tell there’s a spark, so Adam will ask Sally to accompany him to the upcoming Newman Media launch party.
Sally will play hard to get and offer a simple “we’ll see” at first, but she’ll give Adam a firm yes sooner or later.
Perhaps Sally will think Adam seems like the kind of guy who enjoys a bit of a chase. Regardless, Adam will indeed attend this shindig with Sally and ruffle some feathers in the process.
At Crimson Lights, Ashland will seem short of breath as Nate watches with concern.
Although Ashland will act like he just needs a second to compose himself, Nate will worry and wonder if he’s really OK. If Ashland’s crisis gets any worse – or if it appears to get worse – Nate may push Ashland to head to the hospital.
Of course, there’s a chance this is all part of a scam. Having an ordeal like this in front of a doctor would certainly add to the believability of a fake illness scheme.
It might keep Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) convinced she shouldn’t buy any red flags as well, so no one can rule out the idea that Ashland will be pretending.
As for Nick, he’ll shock Phyllis with a question about her former flame.
Thanks to Sally and her attempt to fuel Nick’s jealousy, he’ll have to wonder how Phyllis would feel if he weren’t in the picture. Would Phyllis be tempted to reunite with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)?
Phyllis won’t like the fact that Nick’s even thinking about this and will blame Sally for trying to cause issues between them.
Nick will seem more curious than upset, but Phyllis still won’t want there to be any insecurities or doubts on his part.
Phyllis will assure Nick that she’s all in on their relationship and that Jack is merely a friend.
There won’t be much point in speculating on anything else since Phyllis knows what she wants in this reality – and that’s Nick.
However, Sally was right about Jack and Phyllis practically being attached at the hip!
With all this time Phyllis and Jack are spending together, it can only lead to trouble on a soap.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack and Phyllis’ bond could indeed take them into dangerous territory down the road.
