Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) will return – and it looks like she’ll bring the news of Summer Townsend’s (Marie Wilson) death. The demise of Maggie’s daughter should be what brings this sad Salem comeback, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
Maggie will show up in town again on October 6, so she’ll certainly enjoy the chance to see her friends and family.
However, Maggie’s return won’t be an entirely happy occasion. That’s because Maggie will have some sad updates to pass along – and they’ll most likely involve her deceased daughter, Summer.
Days spoilers say Maggie will break some difficult news to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin).
The last time DOOL fans saw Summer, she was suffering from cirrhosis of the liver and didn’t have much longer to live.
Summer blamed Maggie’s rejection for driving her to drink and sending her to an early grave.
Maggie fell off the wagon as a result – and that played a role in all the accident confusion following Adrienne Kiriakis’ (Judi Evans) death.
Nevertheless, Maggie was ultimately there for Summer in her darkest hour. It sounds like Maggie patched things up with Summer and was able to give her the comfort she needed.
It makes sense that Summer has passed away now, but hopefully she went in peace after forming a solid bond with her birth mother.
Of course, Summer was a rather forgettable retcon character that most fans didn’t care much for. Days viewers aren’t going to shed any tears over Summer’s demise, but it’ll be rough on Maggie anyway.
Brady was the one who first found Summer and saved her from committing suicide in the ocean, so her death might tug at his heartstrings a bit.
Summer later betrayed Brady and caused a rift between them, but he’ll still feel compassion when it comes to Maggie’s loss – and the same goes for Chloe.
Fortunately, Maggie will soon jump back in the current Days action, which means doing her best to console Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) as she deals with Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) ordeal.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Maggie will support Julie in any way she can, so stay tuned for some emotional DOOL scenes.
