The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, November 9, teases that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will blast bad mom Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) while Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) rejects Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will also face failure, so there’ll be some major Genoa City drama going on.
On Monday, Abby is so obsessed with flying to Spain for answers that she doesn’t even stop to think about Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor.
That leaves Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) eager to move back in and help care for Abby’s son, but Devon’s meltdown on Tuesday will be a game-changer.
Devon may remind Abby that her little boy is innocent and didn’t ask to be born into all this chaos. The last thing Abby needs to be doing is jetting off to some dangerous area she doesn’t know.
Abby has a responsibility to stay alive and protect Dominic, so she’ll probably realize she needs to put her role as a mother first.
Of course, Mariah might get an earful as well. It’s understandable that Mariah would be attached to Dominic, but the baby is what matters most – not Mariah’s feelings.
Devon may insist Mariah needs to take a step back and get a grip on her own emotions since they’re all struggling right now.
Y&R spoilers say Devon will unleash some rage and perhaps feel a bit bad in the aftermath. He won’t want to be overly harsh with anyone involved here, but he’ll stand his ground when it comes to making Dominic the priority.
As for Victor, his priority will remain obliterating ChancComm with a particular emphasis on Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) humiliation. Victor will trust that the Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) setup is working like a charm – and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may admit that’s the case so far.
Billy’s blackmail threat will fall flat since Victor was apparently counting on it. Although Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be concerned about Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) stressing over this scheme, Victor won’t think it’s going to take long anyway.
Victor’s never been one to back down from a fight, so he’ll be ready to strike a major blow to Billy.
Over with Jack, he’ll make the tough decision to shut Phyllis out for a while. That’ll be painful since Jack cares so much, but he’ll make himself less available due to Phyllis’ recent breakup.
Jack won’t want to take advantage of Phyllis’ vulnerability, so he’ll give her the cold shoulder for her own good.
That rejection is bound to cut deep for Phyllis, so she may confront Jack about his motives sooner or later.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will have to do some soul-searching and figure out what her romantic future holds.
