Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 14, reveals that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) stopped John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) stabbing while Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) trashed unforgiving EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) to Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney). Here’s how it all went down in Tuesday’s exciting DOOL episode.
At Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) apartment, she opened the door to Sami and informed her that Allie wasn’t there.
Nicole tried to slam the door, but Sami put up a fight to keep it open. After Sami shouted about Nicole’s betrayal with EJ, Nicole dragged her in and set the record straight.
Nicole insisted she slept with a man who was in the process of divorcing a woman he despises. She thought that was totally different from when Sami made a premeditated, personal attack by publicly exposing Nicole’s affair.
Nicole didn’t think Sami cared about Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) feelings and felt she should save her moral indignation over the EJ situation now.
Nicole argued that Sami wasn’t “woman enough” to keep EJ and felt like Sami had broken up her own marriage without any outside intervention.
Sami turned away like she was in pain, so Nicole softened a bit and touched her arm. That sent Sami flying into a rage and launched another catfight that Allie walked in on.
Allie wondered “what the hell” was going on, so Nicole decided to give Sami and Allie a chance to talk alone.
Once Nicole took off, Sami let Allie know that her “precious Saint Nicole” was in bed with EJ last night. She complained about finding the pair together, but Allie wanted to focus on EJ and how he’d treated Sami “like crap.”
Allie felt like Sami always blamed everyone except EJ, who punished Sami instead of forgiving like she’d forgiven him. Allie felt like Sami’s love for the ages seemed more like life in prison with no possibility of parole!
Allie also encouraged Sami to see that Lucas was the one who would walk through fire and gave her mom a nudge toward reuniting with her dad.
At the DiMera mansion, EJ reassured Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) over the devil situation and admitted Sami started sleeping with her ex-husband. Susan was shocked to learn EJ was pushing for a divorce and wanted to hear the whole story.
After EJ offered updates on Tuesday’s Days episode, Susan surprised him by acting like he was a hypocrite. She felt EJ had made similar mistakes and wanted him to forgive Sami for what she did.
If EJ still had love in his heart for Sami, then Susan said there was still hope for his mortal soul.
In a moment alone, EJ found his wedding band in the desk drawer and stared at it as he thought back to Susan’s advice. Suddenly, Sami appeared in the doorway looking ready to talk.
In the town square, Lucas told Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) about Sami finding EJ in bed with Nicole. He knew nothing good could come from Nicole going back to EJ, but he selfishly hoped this would be the wakeup call Sami needed.
Nicole interrupted and quickly realized Lucas must’ve been talking to Rafe about her. After Lucas took off, Nicole figured Rafe would tell her how horrible EJ is – or perhaps how dumb she was for hooking up with him again.
Rafe suggested this was his fault instead and reminded Nicole of what happened between them, though Nicole said that was over. Rafe wondered if that was really true and pulled Nicole into a steamy kiss right there in public.
As for Lucas, he met up with Allie and got some hope for his future with Sami. Allie thought she finally got through to Sami over EJ and figured if her mom was going to be with anyone, it’d be Lucas.
At home on Tuesday’s Days episode, Ciara got the news of Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) possession from Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), who warned her to only open the door to Belle Brady (Martha Madison) while he was gone.
At the cabin, John barged in and told Ben that wasn’t Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). He tried to reveal that the devil had possessed Marlena again, but she used her special powers to clutch John by the throat and silence him.
When Marlena loosened her grip, John lunged toward her and scored himself a punch from Ben. That knocked John out and gave Ben the opportunity to tie him up along with Marlena.
After Marlena put a gag in John’s mouth, she held a knife and vowed to make sure John never hurt her again. Ben convinced Marlena that violence wasn’t the answer, but the devil mostly just knew he couldn’t eviscerate John right there in front of Ben.
Possessed Marlena still needed Ben to help her get to the baby Ciara was carrying, so she told him they needed to go to the police and trust that the truth would set them free. Marlena then grumbled to herself about the things she did for hate.
Next on Tuesday’s Days episode, Susan managed to reach Ciara by phone after multiple attempts.
Ciara assured Susan that she was already in the loop about the devil being inside Marlena. Ciara also pushed for prayers and feared what might be happening at the cabin.
Ben took John’s car keys so that he couldn’t leave before the cops arrived. After Ben asked if Marlena was ready, she thought to herself that she was ready to take Ben and Ciara’s unborn child!
Before Ben and Marlena could leave, Shawn arrived and insisted that wasn’t Dr. Evans. He confirmed it was the devil as Ben glared at possessed Marlena.
