General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the next two weeks, December 20 to December 31, tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) fate will be sealed while Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) scrambles with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will also have a wild party – and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will bail on Cameron Webber (William Lipton).
During the week of December 20-24, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will fret over potentially not being able to get Nina’s case thrown out. He’ll wish he had some ammo to shut this down, so Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will offer some.
Obrecht will admit she thinks Sonny and Nina fell in love in Nixon Falls, so that’ll leave Scott doing a spit take!
Once Scott wraps his head around the shocker, he’ll start spinning this into a new legal strategy to get Nina off the hook.
Meanwhile, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will have to figure out what she believes after a visit with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Cyrus will argue that after a near-death experience and a great deal of reflection, he’s found a new sense of religion.
Cyrus will want to live a godly life and will assure Laura that he didn’t send that hitwoman to the safehouse.
Laura will know Cyrus hasn’t exactly been a pillar of honesty in the past, but she’ll get a sense that maybe he’s telling the truth this time.
It probably won’t be long until Laura suspects Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) of plotting to kill her along with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will practically be treating Victor like a hero when Laura returns to town, so she’ll desperately want her grandson to open his eyes and see that Victor isn’t one of the good guys.
Laura will also come home in time for the tree-lighting ceremony, so it’ll be great to have the mayor around for that.
At GH, Santa will appear and set the stage for an unexpected reunion. Back with Spencer, he’ll fume when he catches Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) having a secret conversation with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).
Spencer won’t be happy about whatever collusion is going on here. He’ll feel betrayed, but Nikolas will probably just want Trina to help him make peace with his son. Trina may think Spencer is overreacting, but he’ll lash out as their friendship takes a bit of a hit.
There’ll be some holiday parties for the Corinthos clan and Quartermaine family, but it’ll be the one at Alexis’ place that really shakes things up.
Victor may derail that gathering just like he did at Thanksgiving, so we’ll see what happens once this crazy Christmas bash gets underway.
Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will feel the crushing weight of grief as she’s released from GH without her baby boy.
Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will know it’s going to be tough to move on following Liam Corbin’s death, but he’ll hope to support Sasha through the pain.
Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will also find a lovely lady who catches his eye. When Marshall does some volunteering at the hospital, he’ll notice Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) and could perhaps do some flirting.
After Joss and Cam face a surprise interruption, there’ll be some canceled plans during the week of December 27-December 31. Cameron may feel snubbed since it looks like Josslyn will help Spencer out with a crisis instead.
Nina’s preliminary hearing will take a shocking turn thanks to Sonny’s testimony. Scott will make sure Nina and Sonny’s Nixon Falls romance blows up, so that’ll lead to Sonny admitting he doesn’t feel like the victim of a crime.
Although Nina’s case may be thrown out, she’ll no doubt face more of Carly’s fury. Sonny will have some explaining to do when it comes to his wife, but Carly may not approve of his excuses.
Sonny really should’ve come clean from the get-go – and Carly won’t like how he keeps defending Nina either.
Back with Epiphany, she’ll react to a surprising offer from Marshall. It sounds like Marshall will wonder if Epiphany would like to go on a date.
As for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), he’ll join forces with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) on their investigation of Marshall and wonder to Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) what else his dad is hiding.
The results of Leo Falconeri’s (Easton Rocket Sweda) evaluation will come in while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) gets a special present from Liesl. There’ll also be some New Year’s Eve fun, so some great action’s coming up over the next two weeks.
We should note that a repeat episode will be shown on Friday, December 24. There’ll be another encore episode on Friday, December 31, so keep those repeats in mind as you plan your holiday soap viewing.
