The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, December 20, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) spied on Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) while Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) marked her territory. Let’s talk about how all the action went down on Monday’s B&B episode.
At the cliff house, Ridge told Taylor that he walked out on Brooke again. He was frustrated over Brooke getting sucked into the Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) vortex and felt his attempts to stop it only made things worse.
Ridge complained about Deacon almost destroying Brooke’s life and wasn’t about to feel sorry for him like the Logan women. He was glad for Taylor since he had someone to talk to and someone who understood him.
Taylor was more than willing to listen and joked around with Ridge about him not being her patient.
Ridge reflected on what a great job Taylor did helping Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and smiled over her being great at a lot of things.
Taylor confessed to missing that smile of his, so Ridge said maybe he’d smile more now that she was back. He asked if Taylor could make Deacon disappear, so she played magician until Ridge remembered she always “sucked” at magic.
When Taylor reflected on being back around so many memories of their family, Ridge promised her family wasn’t going anywhere.
At Forrester Creations, Steffy joked around with Thomas since was a model wasn’t all over him for once. She teased Thomas over losing his touch before talk turned to Taylor settling in nicely at the cliff house.
There was no doubt in Steffy’s mind that Taylor was still in love with Ridge. Thomas wanted Taylor’s happiness and felt bad for her since Ridge was now married to Brooke. He felt they were always watching their father deal with one of Brooke’s messes.
Thomas suggested the timing of Taylor’s return was great – and Steffy agreed the timing couldn’t be better. She felt Ridge was miserable and thought he needed Taylor more than anything right now.
When Steffy mentioned how much Taylor wanted to see Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), Thomas said he’d talk to Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).
Steffy argued that Thomas didn’t need Hope’s permission, so Thomas confirmed he’d work it out and take Douglas to visit Taylor soon.
At Brooke’s place, Deacon suggested maybe Hope should give Brooke a little time to herself. Deacon felt Ridge’s problem was that he couldn’t get Brooke to share his view of her ex. He knew that had to be a bitter pill for Ridge to swallow.
Hope wanted Ridge to understand the damage he was doing by taking such a hard stance.
Deacon swore he didn’t mean to cause problems before Brooke joined them downstairs. Brooke mentioned that Ridge wasn’t answering her calls and wondered where he could be.
Hope protested that nobody could stand in the way of her bonding with Deacon. She felt like Ridge was being stubborn, but Brooke argued that he was doing the best that he could in a difficult situation.
Hope countered that Brooke was bending over backwards to be sensitive to Ridge and his needs.
Deacon brought up overhearing that Taylor was back in town, so Brooke confirmed that Ridge had already seen her.
Brooke added that Taylor might be sticking around this time, so Hope could tell Brooke wasn’t too thrilled about that.
Hope wondered if Brooke thought Taylor would take advantage of the problems in Ridge’s relationship, but Brooke hoped not. “She’d better not disrespect my marriage to Ridge,” Brooke declared.
Hope worried Taylor perhaps hadn’t moved on, but Brooke said that’d be Taylor’s problem then.
Brooke was sure of her husband and her relationship, but she wasn’t naïve about Ridge and Taylor sharing children as well as grandchildren.
Although Brooke liked to believe they were one big family, she felt like Taylor kept it more separate with Ridge and her own kids.
Brooke couldn’t help but feel after all these years that Taylor was still in love with Ridge.
Back at the cliff house, Ridge talked about what a remarkable woman Taylor was.
Taylor knew she probably shouldn’t criticize Brooke, but she felt like Ridge’s wife had been giving him “high highs and low lows” for years. She recalled how wonderful her own happy times with Ridge were.
“And I will always love them…and I will always love you,” Taylor admitted. Ridge drew Taylor into a hug as Steffy watched through the window.
Steffy looked quite pleased over Taylor and Ridge reconnecting.
