Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Tuesday, December 28, teases that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will face classic Kristen DiMera (Eileen Davidson) while Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) emergency stops their fight. Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will also do a good deed, so here’s what DOOL has in store.
At the hospital, Steve will don a Santa suit in hopes of pleasing all the sick children. He’ll spread some holiday cheer with Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) help, but they’ll ultimately step away from the Christmas party.
That’ll give Kayla and Steve an opportunity to enjoy a little romance as Christmas Day continues in Salem.
Over with Allie, she’ll deny that she’s jealous and keep trashing Johnny’s new marriage to Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens).
The hostility will heat up, but a family crisis will eventually force Allie and Johnny to come together – at least until Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) is free from the devil’s grasp!
While Johnny and Allie are summoned to the townhouse, Brady will talk to Belle Brady (Martha Madison) at the police station.
Only Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) know the real story behind Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) disappearance, so Belle may stick to her suspicions that Kristen set Brady up.
Regardless, Brady is off the hook for now, which means he can fight the devil along with the rest of Marlena’s loved ones.
Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) just showed up like a miracle in the flesh and will tell John Black (Drake Hogestyn) what needs to be done.
Eric is a priest again, but Days spoilers say he can’t cast the devil out of Marlena alone.
They need all the love they can get in that room, so Eric will join forces with John, Belle, Brady, Johnny, Allie and Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) to make this happen.
Before the next exorcism steps play out, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) will hope he can lie his way out of trouble. Possessed Marlena will likely reveal Lucas is Sami’s snatcher, but he can act like that’s just the devil’s nonsense.
Sami may agree Lucas is incapable of doing something so heinous and warn Marlena so drop her deception.
In reality, Lucas really did abduct Sami and was trying to help Marlena flee to keep the secret. He’ll dig a deeper hole for himself, but he’ll avoid Sami’s wrath for now.
Afterward, Marlena will transform into Eileen Davidson’s Kristen again – this time to taunt Eric.
“Kristen” will remind Eric that she hooked up with him the last time he was a priest. She’ll suggest Eric should surrender to temptation once more, but Eric may fire back that the devil’s got it all wrong.
Eric was Kristen’s victim since she drugged him before things got steamy. Even so, “Kristen” will use Eric’s painful memories against him – especially since Brady punched him over the betrayal at the “Bristen” wedding!
Brady later realized Eric wasn’t to blame, so he can back his brother up on that.
Days viewers will see Brady come face to face with Davidson’s version of Kristen, so this will bring a tense reunion and some difficult memories of his own.
In the end, Eric will join hands with the others to expel the devil from Marlena’s mind and body.
This is their big chance to save Marlena’s soul, so they’ll take full advantage of it with a powerful team of Marlena’s family members.
The good news is Marlena will be hospitalized and given a clean bill of health after the devil leaves her. The bad news is the possession story isn’t going to wrap up just yet.
There’ll be some other devilish consequences and loose ends to tie up, so stay tuned to see what the devil has up his sleeve.
