General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, December 29, teases that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will blast Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) over the secret she talked Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) into keeping before the judge delivers his ruling. Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) plan will also be derailed after an encounter with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), so here’s what to expect.
Michael doesn’t buy the idea that Nina actually wanted the truth about Nixon Falls to stay buried. He feels like Nina simply manipulated Willow into staying quiet until the right explosive moment.
Willow just demanded to know if Nina used her, but Nina will obviously deny it. She’ll assure Willow that she truly didn’t want to cause any more pain, but Michael won’t believe that for a second.
Instead, Michael will put Nina on full blast for talking Willow into keeping the secret and forcing her into that courtroom situation.
That wasn’t Nina’s fault since Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) went rogue, but she’ll be blamed anyway – for that and for falling in love with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in the first place.
Michael may act like Nina intentionally seduced Sonny as part of her revenge on Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), but that just isn’t true.
Even so, Nina will be wasting her breath if she tries to convince Michael her heart was pure when it came to “Mike.”
Michael will hold out hope that Nina will be punished for identity fraud, but it looks like Scott did enough to save her.
Scott and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will savor a major win before long, so that should involve making Nina’s charges go away.
As for Carly, she won’t feel like she even knows her husband anymore. Sonny will seem like a total stranger as he tries to explain his Nixon Falls romance and make Carly understand why he didn’t tell her the truth.
Carly may be particularly upset over the way Sonny acted about her feelings for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Sonny was a hypocrite since he didn’t even bother to tell Carly about his own romance on the side! No matter how Sonny tries to spin this, he won’t be able to repair the damage anytime soon.
Spencer has been rather down in the dumps since he’s facing a prison sentence – even if it’s a light one at Spring Ridge.
It seems Spencer may lean on Josslyn when they have an unexpected encounter on Wednesday.
Josslyn intends to spend New Year’s Eve with Cameron Webber (William Lipton), but things won’t go according to plan.
Since we know Joss is going to cancel on Cam, that could be due to Spencer’s drama or perhaps the Corinthos family crisis at home.
Meanwhile, let’s talk about a different family crisis. Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) will battle concerns about the situation with Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), so she’ll turn to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) for advice.
At GH, Stella will fear that Curtis is going to face a devastating reality check soon.
Based on Marshall’s phone call about not wanting to cause a setback in his progress and his promise that he’s following protocol, he may be battling a deadly illness.
As a result, Stella might worry Curtis is going to get hurt either way.
If Curtis bonds with Marshall, he’ll be heartbroken to lose him all over again. If Curtis’ rejects his father, he’ll miss out on whatever time they might have left.
Marshall also has a dangerous past and apparent mob ties, so there’ll be a lot for Curtis to wrap his head around – that is if he can convince his dad to confess.
For now, Curtis will rip into Marshall for trying to play house with his family and will wonder how long this can really go on.
Marshall may not be interested in divulging much just yet, but he won’t mind talking about his musical group and how he wants to hype that around town.
However, Curtis will struggle to reconnect with his father without the full scoop on who Marshall used to be and who he is now.
General Hospital spoilers say Marshall and Curtis have a rocky road ahead of them, so stay tuned.
