The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Hilary Curtis Hamilton’s (Mishael Morgan) ghost could return to guide Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Will a dream offer this bio dad a new Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) perspective?
Hilary has popped up in spirit form before – particularly in dreams when Devon is wrestling with issues.
Maybe it’s time for Hilary to pop up again and offer some advice to her former flame.
After all, Mishael Morgan already plays Amanda Sinclair, so she’s right there on the cast – just waiting to reprise the role of Hilary Curtis Hamilton, too.
If there was ever a time when Devon needed Hilary to talk some sense into him, it’s now.
Hilary was never one to sugarcoat the truth, so Devon might benefit from her tough love right now.
Devon needs someone like Hilary to help him understand that he’s overstepping in this shared custody situation.
Y&R fans will recall that after a car accident, Hilary lost the baby she was carrying and later succumbed to her own injuries.
The double loss was brutal for Devon, who wound up giving the music box Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) meant for that child to Dominic instead.
That suggests Devon has been trying to fill the void in his heart, but he doesn’t need to be doing that with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) son – not when Devon signed away his parental rights and agreed to be the sperm donor rather than a father.
If Devon’s baby with Hilary had survived, he certainly wouldn’t have liked it if someone had come around claiming he was another father to the baby.
Devon would’ve been outraged and would’ve fought hard in court.
Maybe Hilary could help Devon understand that Chance really does need time and space to bond with this baby.
Devon was there for Dominic from the get-go, but that’s just another reason to step back now.
The closer Devon gets to Dom, the harder it’ll be for Chance to connect with him – even down the road.
Hilary might be the only person who could give Devon a reality check that he’d actually listen to.
Hilary would be in the unique position to help and could acknowledge the loss they both faced when their own child died.
