The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 18, reveals that Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) agreed to a date with a new woman while Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) suspected Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) might be stuck on Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer).
First on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) showed up to see Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang). She wanted to be there for Brooke as a friend, but Brooke asked if Taylor was sure this was a friendly visit.
Taylor knew Brooke was going through something and wanted to offer her help.
Taylor wondered if Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) had already extended the offer, but Brooke said she hadn’t seen her daughter today.
Brooke mentioned that she’d been working from home, so Taylor asked if Brooke was feeling OK.
Taylor acknowledged that Brooke hadn’t been coming into the office according to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Brooke wasn’t keen on everyone talking about her, but Taylor kept up her efforts to get to the bottom of things.
Taylor suspected that whatever was troubling Brooke involved Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), so she pushed Broke to admit she was right.
After Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) interrupted, Brooke said she told Taylor that everything was fine.
Taylor hoped that was true and assured Brooke that her door was always open.
Once Taylor showed herself out, Ridge wondered if Brooke was all right and pushed her to take a breath.
Brooke was visibly rattled over Taylor stopping by, but Ridge thought Taylor would understand if she knew what happened.
However, Brooke was adamant about the secret staying under wraps, so Ridge assured Brooke that it would indeed be their secret.
Meanwhile, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) mulled over what went down with Brooke on New Year’s Eve.
Sheila hoped Brooke had fallen off her high horse and decided that Taylor might be just as interested in what was going on in Brooke’s life right now.
Sheila headed for Taylor’s office in hopes of getting some answers, but Taylor wasn’t pleased over another unannounced visit.
Nevertheless, Taylor was willing to listen to what Sheila had to say.
Sheila couldn’t stop thinking about Taylor and Christmas Eve – just seeing her so loved with her kids and grandkids.
Sheila also mentioned overhearing Steffy and Taylor at the gathering.
Sheila talked about how Taylor had been separated from her family for so long and imagined Brooke wasn’t making it easy to see Ridge. She didn’t think it was fair to Taylor and felt all this must be causing Brooke stress. Sheila then asked how Brooke seemed to Taylor.
At Forrester Creations, an employee named Max (Akbar Gbajabiamila) said he’d been trying to get Carter to come out with the guys and get back in the game.
Ridge wondered if Carter wasn’t ready or if he’d already met someone.
Carter flashed back to his kiss with Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) before Ridge wondered if he wanted to keep the woman in his life a secret.
After Carter insisted there was nobody, Max said Carter should come out with them then. He also wanted Ridge to serve as a wingman.
After Max left, Carter admitted to Ridge that he was in no hurry to get back out there.
Ridge wondered if Carter’s mind was on somebody else – like Quinn. Carter reminded Ridge that he gave his word and would never betray Eric Forrester (John McCook) like that again.
Ridge said that wasn’t what he asked Carter, so Carter acknowledged that he was thinking about Quinn less and less these days.
Carter was determined to be the guy Ridge thought he was and wanted a simple life. Ridge thought the answer was not to get involved with women who were already involved with someone else.
As Zende wrapped up working with a model named Sequoyah (Shireen Crutchfield), she confessed she wanted to spend more time with Zende outside the office.
Sequoyah suggested getting a drink tonight, so Zende flashed back to all Paris’ talk about living the single life and accepted the offer.
Paris overheard and was thrown, but she reassured Zende in private. She meant what she said about having new experiences and pushed Zende to go have fun.
Zende was grateful for Paris’ honesty – though he still hoped to marry Paris someday and have a future with her.
Paris suggested that would make her the luckiest girl in the world, but she seemed pensive once she was alone.
Later, Paris filled Carter in on Zende’s upcoming date with Sequoyah.
Paris confessed it had taken her some time to process the idea of Zende going out with someone else.
Paris felt a lot better after seeing Carter and had been feeling different ever since New Year’s Eve.
Paris claimed she couldn’t stop thinking about their kiss and everything that happened between them.
