Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) will cautiously give TR Coates (William Christian) a chance, but can her biological father really be trusted? Now that William Christian has made his debut in this tricky role, he’s doing a great job at playing both sides of his DOOL character.
There’s a formidable quality to TR, so it’s easy to see why Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) was so terrified of him all those years ago.
Back when TR went by “Ray,” he was cruel and controlling. Paulina was abused and ultimately knew she had to keep her baby girl away from that menace.
That’s why Paulina worked out a deal with Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo), who raised Lani as if she were her own daughter.
Of course, TR is the reason Paulina had to keep her distance – both to appease Tamara in this arrangement and to make sure Ray never found out the truth about her “niece.”
Now the worst has happened as far as Paulina’s concerned.
TR knows he’s the biological father and will do whatever it takes to make sure he forms a bond with Lani.
Paulina doesn’t buy this “changed man” routine at all, but there’ll be some part of Lani that wants to believe it.
Right now, Lani is angry over the past and confused over the present.
Lani adores Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and would never want him to feel like anything less than her “real” father.
Lani’s emotions are all over the place, so it’s understandable that she’d reject TR.
However, Days spoilers say Lani will calm down and consider whether she might have room in her heart for another dad.
TR could certainly never replace Abe, but a second father might be OK if TR can prove himself.
Days spoilers reveal that TR will make plea after plea to connect with his daughter. His persistence may convince Lani there’s some truth to what he’s saying.
That could lead to Lani going against Paulina’s wishes and at least agreeing to a dinner or two.
Lani may decide that she’s a grown woman and a trained cop, so there’s no real harm in seeing what this guy’s all about.
Naturally, Lani will be wary when it comes to the twins and her other family members.
Lani may insist any relationship they might have should stay between them for now, but TR will hope he can become a true member of the fam in time.
TR seems to genuinely want this father-daughter bond, but that doesn’t mean he won’t fall back into old patterns.
We know TR’s ex-girlfriend Beth (Donielle Artese) will roll into town and potentially argue that the recent past isn’t much better than ancient history!
Days of Our Lives spoilers say TR will work to win Lani over, but there’s no denying the risks that come with this connection.
