General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will comfort Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) over her stalker. Is Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) brother the father figure that Jake Webber (Hudson West) needs?
Jake feels like Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) is slowly being forgotten, so that’s apparently why he’s resorted to all this horrible behavior.
It seems extreme, but Jake is an angsty teenager who may not realize just how much of a toll this is taking on Liz.
There’s a chance Jake isn’t to blame for everything, but he’s at least at fault for some of it.
We know since GH spoilers say Jake will deal with guilt and fear Liz won’t forgive him during the week of March 14-18.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) already suspects Jake and should be the one to figure out what’s really going on here.
However, Finn is obviously part of the problem since Jake barely knows him and isn’t interested in watching Finn replace Franco.
Of course, we’re not saying Liz should coddle teenage Jake and his feelings. Jake needs to grow up and respect Liz’s dating choices – whatever they may be.
Still, we have to wonder if Drew might be a better match for Liz all around.
General Hospital spoilers say Drew will console Liz while Finn’s off putting the puzzle pieces together.
There’ll be some sweet scenes of support, so Liz will definitely appreciate having Drew in her life.
Now Jake has lost Jason as his father, perhaps Jason’s brother would be the next best thing.
Jake loves and trusts his uncle, so he might approve of Liz moving on with him.
In fact, Drew actually thought he was Jake’s father once upon a time.
GH fans will recall that Drew previously believed he was Jason due to the memory-mapping drama.
Back then, young Jake burst into tears when he learned “Jason” was actually Drew and that he wasn’t his real dad.
Jake desperately wanted Drew to remain his real dad at the time, though he eventually warmed up to Jason as well.
The point is Jake once had a strong connection to Drew and might have less of an issue if Liz moved on with him.
That doesn’t mean Liz should make choices based on what Jake wants, but it might be easier for the writers to create a happy family with Drew in the picture instead of Finn.
Regardless, Drew will indeed offer comfort to Liz while she deals with this crisis, so the show could take their friendship in a romantic direction eventually.
Liz fell for Drew way back when he was “Jake Doe,” but maybe they deserve to try something with him as Drew in the here and now.
Jake will need a father figure to guide him once the stalker truth comes out, so could Uncle Drew step up?
