The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) may reject Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) plea for another chance. It looks like Ridge will decide he can’t sign up for more heartache.
Brooke has convinced herself that letting Ridge go was a big mistake, but she’s forgetting something important.
Ridge dumped Brooke first, so that’s a crucial detail in all this divorce drama.
The truth is Ridge left Brooke – and then she determined maybe it was for the best.
Before all this talk about setting Ridge free, Brooke begged for another chance and didn’t get one.
What makes Brooke think it’ll be any different if she pleads with Ridge again?
Ridge has had more time to cool off, but he’s also had more time to let Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) criticism of Brooke sink in.
Of course, Ridge has also been bonding with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and knows he has a safe backup option.
Reuniting with Brooke comes with a lot of risk, but choosing Taylor means landing in a soft safety net.
It’s easy to see how Ridge would be tempted to stick with Taylor for a while. That’s especially true since Ridge doesn’t have all the facts about New Year’s Eve.
Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) sent Brooke tumbling off the wagon through her label switch scheme, so that’s something Ridge needs to know.
There’s been plenty of talk about Brooke’s choice to drink, but Sheila took that choice away from her.
Ridge doesn’t know that yet, so that could change everything down the road.
However, we have to focus on what’ll happen in the meantime – specifically in the March 23 episode before the 35th anniversary episode on March 24.
B&B spoilers say Brooke will indeed beg for one last shot with Ridge.
We’ll see Brooke and Ridge deal with some strong emotions as they struggle to get on the same page.
Then, there’ll be this special Brooke-centric standalone episode that’s all about five of her true loves.
It’d be weird for Brooke and Ridge to have some amazing reunion before this episode that’s basically all about Brooke and her many men – not just Ridge.
It sounds more like Brooke may have a dream as she tries to figure out why she’s such a romantic failure!
Plus, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will still be keeping Sheila’s secret after this standalone episode – and he’d have no significant reason to if Ridge reunited with Brooke.
Thomas would likely be telling the truth right now if it weren’t for Taylor’s opportunity to live happily ever after with Ridge.
Since Thomas will still be hiding the label swap on March 25, that suggests Ridge and Brooke won’t be back together at that point.
That also means Ridge will apparently reject Brooke’s plea and could send her into another downward spiral – at least for now.
It makes sense for the show to wait until Sheila’s shocker is revealed before they potentially put Ridge and Brooke back together.
