General Hospital Spoilers: Marshall’s Antipsychotic Medication Revealed – Dangerous Mental State Behind Curtis Abandonment?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) antipsychotic medication will be revealed. Was Marshall’s dangerous mental state behind Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) abandonment?

Marshall has a shady past and truly does seem like the kind of guy who’s made some terrible enemies over the years.

However, outside forces may not have been the only reason Marshall stayed away from his family.

We should talk about Marshall’s dropped pill bottle and his behavior at GH on the March 23 episode.

Marshall clearly doesn’t like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but he went overboard on his outrage and even objected to TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) treating Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

Of course, Marshall also seemed rather frantic about getting the dosage on his medication adjusted.

The show didn’t really highlight what Marshall was taking, but closer examination of the bottle indicates that Marshall is on risperidone.

Sonny was able to look at that bottle once it rolled his way, so this could lead to him finding common ground with Marshall eventually.

Sonny is on lithium to help stabilize his moods and manage his bipolar disorder symptoms. He recently went off his meds and had an outburst of his own, but he’s back on track now.

As for the risperidone that Marshall’s taking, it’s an antipsychotic drug used to treat schizophrenia and mania episodes associated with bipolar disorder.

Marshall may be dealing with some similar issues that Sonny can relate to.

That doesn’t mean Sonny and Marshall will necessarily get along, but it does present the possibility for them to start to understand each other a bit better.

Nevertheless, it’s Curtis who needs to understand Marshall most of all.

Marshall has created so many questions and refuses to provide all the answers, but let’s hope more confessions are looming.

Perhaps Marshall will eventually confess whatever his official diagnosis is and explain why he’s on this antipsychotic drug.

Before Marshall got that diagnosis along with the help he needed, he might’ve been a danger to himself and others.

Could that have played a role in why Marshall stayed away from Curtis and his other loved ones?

Whatever the case, it’s another piece of the puzzle that Curtis needs to know.

General Hospital spoilers say some twists and turns are still to come in Marshall’s storyline, so stay tuned.
