Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, March 25, reveals that Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) death threat rattled Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) – and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) created a drunk display at Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) door. Let’s talk about how all Friday’s DOOL action played out.
After Ava interrupted Nicole and Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) kiss, Rafe demanded his key back and insisted he was going to change the locks.
Rafe told Ava that he’d send her things to her later and threatened to arrest her now that he’d been reinstated as the police commissioner.
Ava didn’t buy that Rafe was actually going to arrest her – and she was proven right when he didn’t.
Once Ava told Rafe and Nicole to have a wonderful life for as long as it lasted, she sauntered out.
Nicole was concerned over that potentially being a death threat and feared Ava could be out for blood.
Rafe downplayed the danger and made it clear that he’d take Ava down, but he convinced Nicole to take a bath with him in the meantime.
At the DiMera mansion, Abigail told Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) that she’d be busy with Chad tomorrow since they were going to pay Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) a visit.
Sonny seemed agitated over the delay before deciding he was perhaps obsessing over this Leo situation.
Sonny considered letting it go, but Abigail suggested they could move forward with the plan tonight and headed off to fake trash her marriage.
Over drinks, Chad started to wonder if maybe this plan was the right call.
Sonny worried that Chad was getting cold feet and worked to convince him that Leo didn’t have to take the bait. What Leo did next was up to him.
In their hotel suite, Leo fumed over Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) getting a staff job offer via email.
Leo acted like the money wasn’t good enough and knew Craig deserved to be the chief of staff instead.
However, Leo was pleased over Craig’s meeting with Dr. Seth Burns (Bruce Beatty), which happened in the town square later.
Leo knew Craig wouldn’t toot his own horn, so he sang Craig’s praises instead and thought he’d be the perfect chief of staff replacement.
Since Kayla refused to fire Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) over all the possession drama, Dr. Burns took the decision out of her hands.
Dr. Burns fired Kayla and told her to clear her things out since he wanted Dr. Wesley to start as soon as possible.
Kayla fumed after Craig appeared and acted like he was willing to do what needed to be done.
As Craig settled in his new office, Kayla wished him luck since he was going to need it!
Meanwhile, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) met up with Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) at the hospital.
Steve admitted that Ava disappeared from the motel he tracked her to.
Tripp struggled to believe the idea that Ava was caught up in Abigail’s kidnapping and didn’t see a motive.
However, Steve pointed out there were other possible crimes – like setting Rafe up after catching him sneaking around with Nicole.
Tripp understood how Ava must feel due to his own situation with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens).
Tripp missed Allie as well as Henry Horton (Clyde and Nash Gunderson), so Steve acknowledged the adjustment period and offered comfort.
When Ava arrived, she brushed off Steve’s questions about her shady activities and got Tripp to join her for dinner.
Steve then called up one of his associates to keep an eye on Ava. Afterward, Marlena found Steve and revealed that Kayla had just been fired.
In the town square, Tripp confessed that Ava was right to worry about Allie and Chanel’s bond.
Tripp brought Ava to speed on everything falling apart and returned her grandmother’s ring, but Ava decided she’d just hang onto it until Tripp met the right woman.
Next on Friday’s Days episode, Abigail showed up in Leo’s hotel room and demanded answers about what happened in Phoenix.
Abigail talked about Chad dressing up in women’s clothes and how he wouldn’t shut up about Leo.
Abigail pretended she’d gotten into a big fight with Chad and seemed concerned when Leo mentioned a bedroom misunderstanding during the Phoenix trip.
After Abigail softened, she begged Leo not to sleep with Chad and acted like she was desperate to keep their family together.
Leo insisted that he was in a happy committed relationship and that Abigail had nothing to worry about.
Once Abigail left on Friday’s Days episode, she called Chad and let him know it was his turn.
Back with Leo, he took a call from Craig and was overjoyed to learn his beau just got the chief of staff job.
Soon after, Chad started banging on the door. When Leo opened up, Chad pretended to be drunk and said he had to see him.
Chad then asked an intrigued Leo if he could come inside.
