General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, April 1, tease that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) shut down Neil Byrne’s (Joe Flanigan) greedy brother, but Brendan Byrne (Josh Coxx) scored dirt on Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) after their encounter. Here’s how Friday’s GH action played out.
In court, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) entered a not guilty verdict and was released without bond until her trial date could be determined.
Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) remained confident he could get Trina off the hook, but the assistant district attorney tried to rattle Trina and acted like she should’ve taken the deal.
As for Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), she was proud of Trina for standing up for herself.
Trina headed to Portia and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) new place, where she opened up about her fears.
Although Portia encouraged Trina to relax, there were concerns about the ADA being out for blood.
Meanwhile, Smoltz (David Lautman) approached Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) as they lingered in the courtroom.
He figured they knew who was really behind the tape, so he hoped for an exclusive and thought he could help take this person down.
Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) shooed Smoltz away with some threats since he obviously had selfish motives.
Ava also pushed Josslyn and Cameron to trust her when it came to handling Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
Josslyn surprised Cam by suggesting they should leave through the front door.
Josslyn wasn’t afraid of a few reporters and mentioned that they needed to prove Esme could be in two places at once.
At Wyndemere, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) scolded Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) over his attitude toward Esme, especially considering Spencer invited her to stay there.
Spencer knew Ava wasn’t going to approve, but Nikolas tried to shift Spencer’s focus back to the potential baby.
At one point, Spencer questioned Esme about why she still hadn’t taken the home pregnancy test, so Esme said she was scared.
That left Spencer wondering if Esme was scared that she was pregnant or scared that she wasn’t.
Esme admitted she wanted to be with Spencer either way and thought he had to decide that as well.
Esme also insisted her presence would drive Ava and Nikolas apart, which is what Spencer wanted all along.
Later, Ava returned to Wyndemere and found Esme reading “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” The sight of Esme making herself at home left Ava fuming!
In Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) office, he talked to Brick (Stephen A. Smith) about needing to fill the void Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) left behind.
Brick also quizzed Sonny about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and vowed to look into how Esme engineered this video scheme.
At Charlie’s Pub, Harmony let Nina know that the plan to get through to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) had failed.
Nina then approached Scott, who pushed her to admit she made a mistake and needed a shark like him in court.
Scott was willing to help Nina get visitation rights to see Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver), but he needed to know she was willing to lose Sonny if need be.
Nina was convinced that she could have it all – her grandson and the man who had changed her life forever.
At The Invader, Alexis recognized Brendan as Neil’s brother – the one who chewed her out at Neil’s memorial.
Alexis admitted to going into a downward spiral after that, but Brendan was apologetic and acted like she was doing well for herself now.
Alexis wasn’t buying the nice guy act, especially once Brendan talked about his string of bad luck and how funerals were expensive.
Brendan felt Alexis needed to pay her part since she played a role in Neil’s death.
Alexis was suspicious of the circumstances surrounding Neil’s demise and wasn’t about to let his brother bully her.
Once Harmony showed up and introduced herself to Brendan, he thought she seemed familiar.
Harmony suggested it was probably from her involvement in the notorious Dawn of Day.
However, Brendan ultimately looked through a pile of files once he was alone.
Brendan commented on how he knew Harmony’s name was familiar as he found one with her name on it.
As for Harmony, she got updates from Alexis on what happened with Brendan.
Alexis complained about the Jekyll-and-Hyde situation with Brendan and once again voiced doubt about whether Neil’s addiction really caused his death.
General Hospital spoilers say Harmony will land in some other tight spots soon, so stay tuned!
