The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 8, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) raced to the hospital for critical Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) while Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) “accident” slipup set Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) off. Let’s discuss what went down on Thursday’s B&B episode.
After Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) shared more about what happened, Liam bolted for the hospital.
Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) were left reeling over John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) death as well as Steffy’s fight for her life.
Hope’s heart went out to Sheila since she knew this would be a huge shock for her. Deacon admitted Sheila was already in the loop.
Although Sheila wasn’t anyone’s favorite person, Deacon said she still lost a son tonight to a lunatic.
Deacon felt confident the cops would catch the killer since it was such a high-profile case.
At the hospital, Li glared at Sheila and accepted hugs from Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) as well as Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Sheila told Li that she wanted to see her son, but Li snapped that Finn was her son – NOT Sheila’s.
Li let Ridge know that she was praying for Steffy, who was the mother of her grandchild.
Ridge assured Li that they would do everything in their power to make sure Finn’s memory stayed alive.
Sheila pushed to see her son one last time, but Li said she was looking after Finn now.
After Sheila referred to this as a “terrible accident,” Li wondered how she could say such a thing.
Sheila covered, but Li still insisted that whoever did this was a vicious, evil monster. She intended to make them pay for what they’d done.
Sheila agreed with Li and didn’t know who could live with themselves after taking the life of their precious boy. She kept trying to act like they both lost a son, but Li ranted about being the one who adopted, supported and raised Finn.
Sheila stood by her claims that she was also Finn’s mother, but Li had heard enough. She warned Sheila to “stay the hell away” from her.
Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) made another tearful speech by Steffy’s bedside and even sang a song like when she was a little girl.
Taylor pushed Steffy to fight and cried over how much she needed her daughter.
Ridge got choked up over Taylor singing and hugged her as they gazed at Steffy in her hospital bed.
Once Taylor stepped out, Ridge made a speech of his own about how Steffy would rest and then come back to them.
Ridge insisted they wouldn’t waste another moment.
Ridge admitted that he hurts when Steffy hurts, so he was all scarred up and felt he’d failed at protecting her.
Ridge urged Steffy to return for her kids and repeated that she had to come back. Ridge didn’t think the world would be cruel enough to take Steffy away.
Back with Taylor, she found Li just before she walked away from Sheila. Taylor comforted Li over Finn and got some comforting words in return regarding Steffy.
Sheila asked how Steffy was doing and learned she was hanging in there.
Sheila thought Steffy would be able to help solve the case when she woke up, but Taylor said they were all focusing on her health for now.
Sheila reiterated her desire to see Finn one more time, but Li fired back that she was taking care of her son now the way she always had.
Taylor looked unsettled over the conflict happening between Finn’s adoptive mom and birth mother.
Once Liam rushed in the waiting area, Thomas said Steffy was still with them.
Liam asked if Steffy was going to be OK, but Thomas only knew that she was critical.
