The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, April 18, reveals that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) pushed Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) to propose to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White). Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) also learned a secret, so here’s how all the B&B drama played out.
At the hospital, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) was grateful that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) had saved Taylor Hayes’ (Krista Allen) life and that there was no more tragedy.
That said, Ridge still felt the focus had to be on Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) right now.
Ridge also didn’t think jumping off a building would bring John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) back.
As Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) appeared, he agreed that nothing would bring Finn back – though he promised to get justice.
That left Sheila stressed out as she found a private place to fret alone. Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) joined Sheila and learned she saved Taylor’s life earlier.
When Deacon found out Sheila was going to kill herself on the roof, he was stunned.
When Deacon tried to insist that things would get better, Sheila snapped that he had no idea what she was going through.
Sheila felt she never should’ve come back to Los Angeles, but Deacon insisted that none of this was Sheila’s fault.
Meanwhile, Carter joined Zende and Paris in the waiting area to support Steffy. Zende insisted that Carter was like family to the Forresters and thanked him for being such a great friend to all of them.
Carter and Paris shared a guilty look before Paris ultimately took off to see Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech). Zende took advantage of the moment alone with Carter to ask for his opinion.
This whole experience proved to Zende that life was short – and Paris was the woman he wanted to be his wife.
Zende was unsure about proposing, but Carter thought Zende should follow his heart and do it.
At Forrester Creations, Zende found Quinn and Eric Forrester (John McCook) as they were reflecting on the Finn and Steffy drama.
After Zende admitted he couldn’t wait anymore, he confirmed that he was going to ask Paris to be his wife.
Quinn didn’t mean to be a downer, but she wondered if Paris felt the same way.
Quinn reminded Zende that Paris wanted to keep things casual, but Zende was adamant that Paris was his future.
In the design office, Carter slammed his laptop closed in frustration.
Carter opened it back up when Paris arrived and pretended to be in the middle of something, but she saw through his strategy.
Carter insisted their romance couldn’t happen, but Paris felt they could make it work since they loved each other.
It was worth the risk to Paris, but not to Carter. He didn’t want Paris to face problems with Grace and the Forresters because of him.
Carter said Zende was Paris’ future and told her to accept Zende’s proposal since he knew one was coming.
After Paris left on the verge of tears, Quinn showed up after eavesdropping around the corner.
“Really? You and Paris?” Quinn asked Carter.
Back at the hospital, Baker admitted the security cameras had been down at Il Giardino.
Baker was eager to talk to Steffy since she was the only witness, but Ridge pointed out that she didn’t remember anything about the shooting so far.
Ridge shared a tender moment alone with Taylor, but he wasn’t pleased to see her view of Sheila shifting.
Ridge didn’t think one good deed erased Sheila’s horrible history and was concerned about the trouble she’d bring to their family next.
