The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, April 26, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will demand answers – and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will know best! Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will also extend an olive branch, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
At The Grand Phoenix, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be livid over Diane’s faked death fiasco.
She might suggest she’s so angry she could kill Diane for real!
Nikki thought she killed Diane in self-defense for many years, so she’ll rip into her for the deception and all the lives she messed with.
Diane will assure Nikki that she’s done some soul-searching and worked on herself in therapy. She’ll think she’s ready to be a better person and make amends for her past mistakes.
Diane will apologize and hope Nikki’s willing to forgive her, but Nikki won’t believe any of this is sincere.
We may see Nikki take pity on Kyle since she’ll know Diane’s about to turn his life upside down.
Of course, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) doesn’t want Kyle to feel blindsided, so he’ll prepare to tell the truth.
Once Jack comes home and realizes Kyle’s been waiting with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), he’ll know he can’t delay the inevitable much longer.
Harrison will head to the kitchen for some cookies – and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will make herself scarce, too.
Although Phyllis will want to be nearby in case Jack needs her, she’ll realize it’s a moment that needs to stay between this father and his son.
Kyle will suspect Jack summoned him home for something massive.
As Jack tries to build up to the bombshell, Kyle will grow increasingly nervous.
Kyle will push Jack to come clean quickly since he won’t be able to take the suspense anymore.
Jack will confess this is indeed huge and life-changing for Kyle. He’ll try to find the right words to tell Kyle that Diane is still alive, but that’ll be a tall order.
Next, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will fight the battle between her head and her heart.
Victoria knows better than to reunite with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) after all his lies, but the fact that he saved her life will matter, too.
Victoria may keep up her tough act with Ashland, but we’re already seeing some cracks in it.
Ashland still has a chance of winning Victoria over, but Victor just wants Ashland out of Genoa City for good.
Although Victor may not be able to pull that off just yet, he’ll have another matter to settle.
Victor has to decide whether he’ll leave Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in charge for a while or let Victoria reclaim the Newman-Locke throne.
Victor will change his mind about a Victoria-related situation, so that could go a couple different ways.
It’s possible Victor will relent on his recent push to keep Adam in power.
Then again, Victor might change his mind about his prior decision to reinstate Victoria after Ashland got the boot.
No matter what Victor’s call is, he’ll think he knows best – though you can bet at least one Newman’s going to disagree!
