The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 3, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) woke up after a big mistake at Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) place while Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) and Eric Forrester (John McCook) sizzled in bed together.
At Forrester Creations, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) interrupted Eric and Quinn Forrester’s (Rena Sofer) conversation about Steffy.
Eric mentioned how Liam had stepped up, which didn’t surprise Carter since Liam obviously still loved and cared for his ex.
Eric got a phone notification and claimed he was taking off to play pickleball.
Quinn suggested maybe they could have lunch together after Eric’s game, but he wouldn’t commit to it.
After Eric was gone, Carter quizzed Quinn on whether everything was all right in her marriage.
Quinn acknowledged that things hadn’t been the same since her affair with Carter, but she hoped that things would get better. Carter agreed that it’d work itself out in time.
Quinn decided she just needed to remember how lucky she was to have an honest man who was completely committed to her.
Elsewhere, Eric was busy reaching for the honey bottle in bed with Donna, who gushed over her “honey bear” as they enjoyed their passionate time together.
At the cabin, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) left Liam a voicemail and admitted she was officially starting to get worried now.
Hope urged Liam to get back to her and then admitted to an arriving Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) that Liam never came home last night.
Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) showed up and heard the news as well, so he struggled to hold his tongue.
Although Liam loved Hope and had a family with her, the same could be said of Steffy.
Thomas felt this is just who Liam was when it came to his former flame, so he wasn’t surprised by Liam’s behavior.
Brooke ranted about how Hope didn’t need Thomas to undermine her marriage and felt they were all aware of Liam’s history with Steffy.
Hope argued that no one advocated for their blended family more than her, but she felt there was a respectful way to go about it.
Thomas suggested Liam was the one Hope should be telling all this.
However, Hope focused on how Liam was stepping up for Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) and being there for his little girl the way a good father should be.
At the cliff house on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Liam woke up on the sofa with Kelly sleeping peacefully on his chest. Liam had an “oh no” moment when he realized he’d fallen asleep without texting Hope.
Liam’s phone was dead, so he needed to charge it – though he admitted to Steffy once she came out that he didn’t want to wake their sleeping daughter.
Kelly woke up soon after anyway and was glad to see that Liam was still there.
Steffy was glad to be home as well and pinky swore to Kelly that she’d never leave her or Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot) again.
Since Kelly was still tired, Steffy suggested she should drift off in her own bed for a bit. Kelly asked if Liam would still be there when she woke up and didn’t want him to go.
Once Kelly was in her room, Steffy asked Liam if their daughter asked about John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).
Liam admitted that Kelly hadn’t said anything yet, but he could tell that she knew her stepdad was missing.
Steffy was upset at the thought of breaking Finn’s death to Kelly, but Liam said they’d find a way to do it gently once Steffy was ready.
After Liam charged his phone up enough to turn it on, he answered Hope’s call. Liam apologized and explained the phone situation, so Hope tried to be understanding.
However, Hope thought it’d be nice if Liam could come home now – and he assured Hope that he’d be on his way soon.
Steffy worried she’d gotten Liam in trouble and doubted that Hope really understood like he claimed.
Liam insisted that Hope knew he was there for Kelly and took the blame for messing up by not texting before he fell asleep.
Steffy cried over Finn being gone forever, but she knew she had to keep moving forward for the kids.
Liam pushed Steffy to heal herself first and knew it wouldn’t happen overnight. He promised to be there for Steffy along with the rest of her loved ones.
Steffy admitted it meant a lot that Liam stayed – not just for Kelly, but for her mom, too.
Liam said Steffy didn’t have to thank him since they were a family and always would be. He held Steffy close as she struggled to cope with the loss of Finn.
