General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) may steal Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) attention and turn Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) new romance into a love triangle.
GH fans have watched Drew get shopped around for chemistry testing, but the path to Drew and Carly’s romance is coming into focus.
There have definitely been some flying sparks, so Carly and Drew are going to build on those moving forward.
Of course, that doesn’t mean there won’t be some romantic hurdles along the way.
When Britt got stood up on her matchmaking service date, it was Drew who kept her company.
On the April 21 episode, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) was thrilled when she spotted Britt and Drew together since she mistakenly assumed they were matched.
Could that scenario have been a hint about Britt and Drew becoming an unexpected love duo?
Time will tell, but we should note that Britt’s world is going to come crashing down later this month.
Between Britt’s loneliness after losing Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and her Huntington’s disease concerns, she’s going to spin out.
Who will be there for Britt in the aftermath?
This seems like the perfect opportunity for someone to swoop in and help Britt in her hour of need. Could it be Drew who steps up?
It would make sense considering the story that GH writers told with Carly, Jason and Britt.
Britt fell hard for Jason, who ditched her so he could enter a mob marriage with Carly.
Jason did what he felt was necessary to help Carly and her family, but his feelings for Carly ultimately turned romantic – and those feelings were mutual.
There’s a chance a similar situation will play out with Jason’s twin. Now that Carly and Drew’s love is set to bloom, what happens once Britt’s crisis hits?
It could make Drew feel obligated to support Britt, but that could easily lead to deepening feelings and the chance at a romance.
In other words, Carly could face some soap karma for stealing Britt away from Jason before his death.
Now it could be Britt’s turn to steal Jason’s brother away from Carly!
Will Britt’s upcoming crisis pull Drew in her direction? If so, what will that mean for Drew and Carly’s romantic future?
