The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, May 12, tease that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) will fight for forgiveness while Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) deals with her weak spot. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will also wrestle with a big problem, so he’ll need some help to weigh his options.
First, Ashland will hold out hope that he can win back his true love.
Since Ashland claims he’s never felt this way about anybody else, he just can’t walk away – not until he knows he’s tried everything possible to reunite with Victoria.
Of course, Ashland scored some points by saving Victoria’s life, but that wasn’t enough to erase his past mistakes.
In fact, there’s nothing that could wipe away all the pain and anger from Victoria’s mind, so all Ashland can do now is keep moving forward.
As part of that plan, Ashland offered Nick $250 million for New Hope – and he insists there are no strings attached.
Nick doesn’t believe that since Ashland obviously wants to buy some redemption, but there’s no denying that the community could use the money for improvements.
That’s why Nick will still have a problem on his hands as he wrestles over what to do.
It’s a real dilemma since Nick doesn’t want to help Ashland look like a good guy, but he doesn’t want to deprive those in need either.
Victoria thinks Nick should take the money and has repeatedly insisted that she’s done with Ashland.
However, Nick won’t be so sure that’s true and will need some other perspectives on this, so he’ll talk to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) once she gets back from her Miami trip.
In the meantime, Victoria will remain more heartbroken than she’s letting on.
It’s been incredibly difficult to lose Ashland since Victoria still loves him deep down.
That love will prove to be Victoria’s weak spot, but it’s just a matter of how vulnerable she’ll let herself become.
Ashland will do everything in his power to show he deserves another chance, so Victoria will deal with a torn heart.
As for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), she’ll feel the need to undo some damage on Thursday’s Y&R episode.
That could involve protecting the company’s image and making some changes now that Nikki is Victoria’s co-CEO.
