Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Thursday, May 26, tease that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) will recruit Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) for Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) grand gesture. Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will also trade bombshells, so let’s discuss what’s in store.
At the hospital, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will visit Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) room to discuss Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) and her role in the shooting.
Of course, Eli now has confirmation that Paulina wasn’t really involved at all and is just covering for Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers).
Lani admitted to Eli that she pulled the trigger, so we’ll see if Eli brings Abe in the loop.
Regardless, Abe feels certain Paulina is hiding the truth to protect Lani and will no doubt want to address that with her later.
Once Abe is released from the hospital, he’ll head to the police station and pour his heart out to Paulina in the interrogation room.
Abe will confess that he’s still in love with Paulina and try to give her some hope during this tricky situation.
Since Abe loves Lani just as much as Paulina, he’ll understand why she’d rather take the fall than watch Lani potentially lose her job and land in prison.
Abe might even support Paulina’s decision, but he’ll still hate that she’s paying the price for a crime she didn’t commit.
Nevertheless, Paulina will remain determined to take the blame for TR Coates’ (William Christian) death.
The biggest hurdle Paulina might face is Lani since it’s clear that guilt is starting to take a toll.
Days spoilers say Lani will continue to struggle, so she might be haunted by another bloody TR dream or just deal with more fears about what’s ahead.
The fact that Paulina’s sitting in lockup for her will definitely weigh on Lani’s heart.
Chanel has been worried sick about Paulina, but she’ll get a distraction when Xander approaches her on Thursday’s DOOL episode.
At first, Days spoilers say Chanel may be annoyed at the sight of her ex-husband, but it’ll soon become clear that Xander’s in a lot of pain.
Xander is desperate for a reunion with the love of his life, so he’ll turn to Chanel for assistance.
Since Sarah proposed with a cake once upon a time, Xander might want to recreate that moment and jog Sarah’s memory.
Xander could at least seek an apology cake as he works to win Sarah’s heart back.
Whatever the case, Chanel runs a bakery, so it makes sense that the help she agrees to give will involve making some sort of sweet treat.
As for Sarah, she’ll remain down in the dumps over the baby swap and Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton’s passing.
Sarah will rant about Xander thinking she’ll just forgive and forget, but Eric will offer some unexpected guidance.
Perhaps Eric will encourage Sarah to open her mind and heart – even to someone like Xander.
By denying herself this reunion and all the love it’d bring, Sarah is making her own pain even worse.
However, it’s understandable that Sarah’s hurting since her loss feels so fresh.
Sarah is still processing Xander’s betrayal at this point, but Days spoilers say she’ll have a real breakthrough with him during the week of May 30-June 3.
In the meantime, Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander) will notice Nicole’s engagement ring and get some big news about her mom’s future.
Nicole will admit she agreed to marry Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), so Holly may have some mixed feelings about that.
Although Holly likes Rafe pretty well – especially when he’s showering her with gifts – it seems like she’d rather see Nicole get back together with Eric.
Holly is also a bit of a brat, so Nicole may have to steer her daughter toward excitement and once again shut down the idea of an “Ericole” reunion.
Back at the pub, Nicole will stop by to share her engagement shocker with Eric.
That’ll lead to Eric congratulating Nicole and dropping a bomb of his own since he’s being kicked out of the priesthood.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Eric’s updates will leave Nicole wondering “what if,” so we’ll see how long it takes for these two to find their way back to each other.
