Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Clyde Weston (James Read) will enlist Lucas Horton’s (Bryan Dattilo) help with EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feurriegel) takedown, so he’ll pitch a dangerous scheme against a common enemy.
DOOL fans know Clyde and EJ have an understanding that’s fragile at best.
Clyde knows EJ poses a threat to his freedom – and EJ knows Clyde poses a threat to his life as well as his family. Both EJ and Clyde have good reasons to want each other wiped off the planet.
EJ already hinted at a plan to take care of Clyde, which left Belle Brady (Martha Madison) worried that he might resort to murder.
Belle doesn’t want to see EJ land back behind bars, so she intends to work with him on a legal route instead.
Since Belle is in EJ’s corner, Days needs to put someone in Clyde’s corner, too.
That’s why Clyde will decide to seek out an ally and hopefully get some backup in his fight against EJ.
Clyde may witness a fight that’s coming up between EJ and Lucas since they’ll turn violent during the week of June 6-10.
That might be what gives Clyde the idea to recruit Lucas for his team.
Regardless, Clyde will approach Lucas with a risky proposition. Everyone knows Clyde’s reputation, so Lucas surely won’t jump at the chance to work with him.
It wasn’t that long ago that Clyde was kidnapping Lucas’ grandson, so Henry Horton’s (Clyde and Nash Gunderson) ordeal might be something Lucas brings up.
However, Clyde may insist he’s changed for the most part.
That may not be true when it comes to plotting against EJ, but this is a special case since Clyde needs to get his guy off his back.
Clyde can’t have EJ spreading it around that he was behind the DiMera’s “death” in the park.
Clyde may work to rile Lucas up when it comes to their mutual adversary and make him consider what it’d be like to eliminate him entirely.
We certainly wouldn’t be surprised if Clyde’s plot involves EJ’s grim fate, but Lucas hopefully wouldn’t go that far.
In fact, we have our doubts that Lucas will even agree to partner up with Clyde.
Days spoilers simply say Clyde will “try” to join forces with Lucas – and sometimes seeing “try” in a spoiler is a tell-tale sign that a character won’t succeed.
Of course, Lucas might change his mind later, but Clyde will at least attempt to score himself a partner in crime.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say a Clyde and Lucas alliance would be intriguing, so stay tuned to see if Clyde makes any progress.
