The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 1, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) made a promise as Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) exited for her overseas trip. Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) also remembered Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) death and expressed gratitude to Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) for stepping up.
At the cliff house, Steffy had her suitcase as she gazed at family photos – including some of John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). Although Steffy knew she needed time away with the kids, she didn’t want to feel like she was forgetting Finn or leaving him behind.
Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) urged Steffy to realize she was just giving herself permission to heal elsewhere. Steffy hoped Liam understood why she needed to take Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) along with Hayes Forrester (Piper Harriot) so they could reconnect.
At the cabin, Liam got summoned to Steffy’s place over the phone and took off right as Thomas arrived. Thomas gave Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) forgotten book and binder to Hope, who relayed the news about Steffy needing Liam.
Thomas wasn’t surprised over Liam rushing over there, but he was sympathetic to his sister and glad she had support. That led to Thomas revealing Steffy’s departure plans. Thomas also thought back to when Caroline died and how lost he felt doing things on his own.
Thomas was forever grateful that Hope had become a mother to his son, so Hope said she loved Douglas. In response, Thomas said Douglas loved Hope, too – that they both loved her.
Once Liam made it to Steffy’s place, he saw her suitcase and assumed she was leaving. Steffy confirmed that she was and explained that she was taking Kelly.
After Steffy begged Liam to understand, he said he trusted her. Liam suggested that if Steffy felt leaving was the best thing for her now, he supported the idea.
Steffy needed to get away from the memories, but it was hard for her to accept that her husband wasn’t coming back. Liam promised Steffy that no matter how many miles apart they were, he would always be there with her. After Liam kissed Steffy on the cheek, he held her as she cried.
Meanwhile, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) knew Finn must be so scared and confused, but she assured her son that she wasn’t giving up. Since Finn’s eyes twitched the other day, Li was excited over his consciousness spiking.
Li pushed Finn to dig deep and come back since his little boy was waiting for his daddy. Later, Finn’s fingers moved slightly while his eyes continued twitching behind his eyelids.
At the Forrester mansion, Ridge and Taylor talked about Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) new penchant for pickleball and joked around. Taylor reflected on Steffy’s sad situation and recalled how happy her daughter had been when she first returned to town.
After Taylor said her heart hurt for Steffy and her grandchildren, Ridge pulled her into a tender hug. As other B&B details come in, we’ll provide more updates.
