General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) may disown Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) for good over his Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) conquest. Will his father’s latest betrayal go too far and turn Spencer against Nikolas completely?
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) recently talked to Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) about Nikolas’ pride coming before all else.
It’s a major Cassadine flaw that certainly extends to Spencer as well.
Although Spencer has turned against Esme and intends to take her down, that’s probably not going to matter much when the truth comes out.
Nikolas doesn’t know that Spencer’s been putting on an act – and even if he did, he’s still crossing the line here.
There are some things you just don’t do! Sleeping with your son’s way-too-young girlfriend or even ex-girlfriend is one of them.
In the aftermath of Nikolas’ hot hookup with Esme, he worried that Spencer would never forgive him.
Esme suggested “Spence” never had to find out, but we all know he’s going to.
Nikolas’ fears should be proven right if Spencer flies into a rage and disowns his father.
That doesn’t mean Spencer will stick to that plan forever since this is a soap – and almost everything tends to be forgiven in time.
Nevertheless, Spencer may be livid enough to cut Nikolas out of his life and declare that he’s doing it permanently.
GH spoilers suggest this could be the last straw as far as Spencer is concerned.
Nikolas has consistently proven that he puts his own wants and needs above Spencer’s.
Between letting Spencer believe he was dead and duping him into thinking a killer was out to stab him at a party, Nikolas hasn’t done right by his son.
Spencer has made mistakes of his own, but he’s still a dumb kid in many ways.
Clearly, Spencer hasn’t had a solid role model to look up to, so it’s no wonder his own behavior has gone off the rails at times.
Now Nikolas has made Esme his conquest, so Spencer may think his father’s sick, twisted treatment of him has to end.
This could be a real breaking point that makes it incredibly difficult for Nikolas to repair his relationship with Spencer.
Regardless of how Spencer feels about Esme now, he loved her once.
It’s disturbing for Nikolas to make such a bold betrayal with Esme and just shows how low he’ll sink!
