The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) could set a prison trap for Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). Will they set their mutual enemy up with a jail time plot?
Let’s take a closer look at some summer preview spoilers and try to nail down where this storyline is headed next.
Now that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has decided to cut ties with her family and walk away from Newman Enterprises, Victor will realize he has to do something drastic.
After Victor mulls it over, he’ll determine he has one final strategy he can use against Ashland.
Victor’s last resort should mean playing dirty and perhaps doing something illegal.
We know that Michael’s sneaky side will come out thanks to whatever Victor’s about to cook up.
Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will have a bad feeling about the scheme that Victor is dragging Michael into, so she’ll no doubt ask plenty of questions.
Michael may not be willing to divulge much of anything, which should add to Lauren’s frustration.
This could really put a strain on Michael and Lauren’s marriage, but Michael will want to make sure Ashland pays for what he’s done.
Of course, Michael wouldn’t go as far as helping Victor commit murder, so putting Ashland behind bars would be the next best thing.
That would also fit with Michael’s story since it’d be an eye for an eye – putting Ashland in jail since that’s what Ashland did to him in Peru.
Michael might even become part of a frame-up by helping Victor plant some evidence against Ashland.
If Victor and Michael can’t take Ashland down for an actual crime, they might resolve to take him down for one he didn’t really commit.
Then again, Michael could help set a trap and give Ashland the nudge he needs to take the bait.
Perhaps Michael and Victor will hope they can catch Ashland committing a real crime fair and square.
Regardless, Victor might realize prison is his best chance at keeping Ashland out of Victoria’s life.
There’s no guarantee Victor’s plot would work – especially since there have been some murder mystery hints regarding Ashland – but it could become his last-resort tactic before the whodunit.
No matter how this plays out, Victor has one more trick up his sleeve that’ll require Michael to get his hands dirty!
