General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 8, reveals that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hired Dex (Evan Hofer) to take down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) – and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) wanted a bigger mob job.
For starters, Selina Wu (Lydia Look) expressed concern to Sonny about the harbormaster getting fired and worried she would no longer have easy passage for her product. Although Selina feared someone new was making a move, Sonny insisted he was handling it and pushed Selina to leave it alone.
Meanwhile, Brando Corbin (temporarily played by Brad Schmidt) had concerns of his own and told Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about Dex being too eager to impress Sonny. That sent Brando and Dante over to check on Michael.
At the Quartermaine stables, Dex told Michael that he was showing initiative. Michael offered a rude response and made it clear that Dex didn’t belong there, but he said he came for a reason.
As Dante arrived with Brando, he wondered what reason that was. Brando told Michael this was Sonny’s new hire before leaving with Dex.
Later, Sonny got updates on Dex approaching Michael and flew into a rage. If Dex dared to touch one of Sonny’s kids, then Sonny vowed to kill Dex himself.
Sonny warned Dex that when he gave him an order, he expected Dex to do just that – nothing more and nothing less. Dex said that didn’t work for him and argued that Sonny didn’t want a robot.
That said, Dex knew he went too far by trying to impress Sonny, who insisted the way to prove himself was to obey orders and work his way up. Dex just hoped he hadn’t screwed everything up and that he could have another chance.
Back with Dante, he acknowledged Michael’s latest attacks on Sonny’s business and pushed him to see that he was making things worse. Dante didn’t want Michael to become obsessed with revenge and felt that would make him no better than Sonny.
Afterward, Michael met back up with Dex and told him he was out of line to show at the Quartermaine residence like that. Once Michael declared that his family was off-limits, Dex found that ironic considering Michael hired him to take down his father!
By the Metro Court pool, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) told Brad that she’d seen the GIF of Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) slogging her way out of the pool. Brad confessed to being the source of the leak, so Brook Lynn chewed him out for being a rotten friend.
After Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) showed up on Wednesday’s GH episode, Brook Lynn had to take off for work stuff. Brad, on the other hand, had nowhere to be and was eager to stay in hunky Cody’s presence.
In Britt’s hotel suite, she made calls regarding the character assignation this video presented and wanted a legal way to deal with this.
Once Britt wound up at the Metro Court pool, she bickered with Brad and Cody. Brad took Britt aside and pushed her to reveal what was really going on with her lately, so Britt acted like she was on the verge of sharing her Huntington’s diagnosis.
However, Cody’s interruption stopped Britt from confessing. Britt hinted for Cody to leave, but he insisted on sticking around to get what he was owed and said not everything was about Britt.
Even so, Britt was concerned over the damage the viral video was doing, especially since she already had 11 emails from the hospital board. When Britt said she should sue over the pool debacle, Josh surprised her by insisting she absolutely should.
Back with Brad, he met with an impressed Selina and admitted he liked his job. In fact, Brad was ready for more and wanted to make a real contribution to the family business.
Although Selina was pleased over the news, she also felt Brad should continue to learn and complete his training. Selina had been let down by family before, but she declined to elaborate and pushed Brad to prove his dedication by coming with her now.
At home, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) ate the cookies that were meant for the Deception support staff, so Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) decided she’d go get more. Gladys said she’d come along, but Sasha shut down that idea since Gladys was driving her crazy.
After Sasha promised she wouldn’t slip up, she acknowledged that she could get her hands on drugs if she really wanted them. Sasha felt it was her responsibility to stay clean and not something Gladys could do for her.
Although Sasha appreciated Gladys’ concern for her, she insisted she was completely fine. Sasha heard a knock at the door and found a package moments later, so that offered a devastating reminder.
Once Sasha opened the box, she found some shoes she’d purchased for Liam Corbin and reflected on how she thought her son would grow into them. The order had just now been fulfilled, so Sasha’s grief hit her hard as the tears started flowing.
Brook Lynn arrived to talk about Deception’s one-hour slot on the Home and Heart Shopping Channel, so Sasha was glad for the distraction. Nevertheless, Sasha seemed overwhelmed and eventually stepped away – leaving Gladys uneasy.
Brook Lynn’s heart broke for Sasha over the shoes and the loss she was still dealing with. Since Gladys was so on edge, Brook Lynn pointed out she seemed overly worried and asked if there was a reason for that.
Sasha returned and insisted she just needed to splash some water on her face. After Sasha pushed to prepare for her shopping channel appearance, Brook Lynn promised they’d take care of her jitters.
Gladys also insisted on sticking around and being part of the meeting. Later, Gladys caught Sasha opening a pill bottle and knocked it out of her hand. Pills went flying onto the floor right as Brando arrived home.
As other GH info comes in, we’ll keep you posted. General Hospital spoilers say Sasha will do her best to get Gladys off her back, so stay tuned to see if that’s a good idea! CDL’s the place to be for fantastic General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so stop by frequently.
