The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, June 10, teases that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will make an Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) CEO decision while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) offers a ring to prove his faithful Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) love.
At Newman Enterprises on Friday’s Y&R episode, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will pack up her stuff and seem a bit wistful as she stares at her portrait on the wall.
When Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) arrives, he’ll promise he’s not there to interfere.
Instead, Nick will want to tackle all the anger and distance between them.
They’ll have an honest conversation that ends with Nick pledging his support – even if he’ll never understand Victoria’s decision to stand by Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and leave town with him.
Victoria will be glad to get back on better terms with Nick, who’ll invite her to call or text whenever she wants.
The siblings will share a hug as Victoria prepares for her new adventure and embraces this chance to breathe away from the Newman family.
At Society, it’ll be tough for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to accept letting Victoria walk away, but Victor won’t know what else they can do.
That said, Victor will have an idea that might speed up Victoria’s decision to come back home.
Victor will insist he’s going to make a special announcement naming Adam the CEO of Newman Enterprises.
Although Victor will suggest letting Nikki stay on as co-CEO, she’ll think she should step down to COO – that way she can keep an eye on things without diluting the impact of Victor’s decision.
Victor will smile over Nikki thinking like a businesswoman and will feel like this news about Adam running the business will be too much for Victoria to bear.
At Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) penthouse, Billy will try to pull Lily aside since he won’t like how they left things last night.
Lily will want to keep the focus on the launch party happening tonight.
There’ll be some small fires to put out – and Nate will once again bring up his idea of going bolder for this grand event.
However, Lily will side with Devon on their presentation being about the big picture, not the specifics.
As for Billy, he’ll act like the CEOs have made their choice, so anything else is above his pay grade.
At Crimson Lights, Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will call Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) out on her blatant attempt to set her up with a party date besides Nate.
Imani will wonder if Amanda thinks she’ll magically cast a spell and draw Nate into her web.
Once Elena appears following a long hospital shift, Imani will acknowledge how exhausted she looks and think Nate will understand if she can’t make it.
Elena will insist she wants to support Nate on his big night and will be fine after a quick nap.
At The Grand Phoenix, there’ll be talk about Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) overseeing the event as a favor while Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is out of town.
Billy will finally get Lily alone, so she’ll argue that the kids aren’t in danger and that there’s no need to change the custody agreement.
Lily will think this is really about Billy trying to micromanage Victoria’s choices, which is why Victoria’s running away in the first place.
Billy will realize he needs to come to grips with Victoria’s decision and let her live her life.
Lily will appreciate Billy for listening to her, so he’ll admit he’d be the biggest fool in the world if he didn’t.
Once Elena makes it back home, she’ll look in a mirror and realize she indeed looks as exhausted.
Elena will wonder why she’s letting Imani get to her before a phone call brings bad news.
Back at the hotel, Amanda will ask Imani if that dig at Elena was absolutely necessary.
Imani will get confirmation on a marketing guy being her date for the evening and push Amanda to chill.
Afterward, Imani will flirt with Nate again and praise his bolder approach over the one that Lily helped Devon shut down.
Meanwhile, Amanda will glare nearby over Imani’s relentlessness.
There’ll be more party prep before Billy says he has to do something and takes off – leaving Lily looking suspicious.
When Nate returns to the penthouse, he’ll get updates on two doctors calling in sick.
Elena will have to head to the hospital and miss Nate’s big night as a result, but he’ll understand and suggest a private celebration later.
At home, Amanda will let Devon know how proud she is of him. Devon will hype up this adventure they’re on and think tonight’s going to change everything.
Once Billy meets back up with Lily, he’ll hand over a small box with an amethyst ring inside.
Billy will admit it’s to represent the faithful love they share and will want to focus on the future, not the past.
Lily will seem pleased over the gorgeous gift as Billy echoes Devon’s declaration about tonight changing everything.
