The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is teased to be rebuked by Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). While it is true that Phyllis gave Jack reason to doubt her sincerity, he is out of line in chiding the woman who consoled him when he learned his son died.
Phyllis is who she is. Jack knows that. Yet, he romanticized an idea of her in his mind. Then, when faced with real-life, Jack flicked Phyllis away like she was a bug.
Old-school fans caught the reference to the condescending nickname Phyllis regularly used for Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) back in the daytime day.
But Phyllis has come a long way since she was obsessed with the man, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), who was Christine’s husband at that time in the plot.

How has Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) demonstrated her love for Jack through the years?
They share a son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). He represents her greatest and arguably only argument in favor of love.
But Diane’s choice to fake her murder, abandon Kyle when he was a boy, and force Jack into single parenthood counters the love argument. Diane loves Diane and Phyllis believes that remains true today.
Jack appears to be taking out his anger toward Diane on Phyllis. He is wrong to do so.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Deserves Benefit Of The Doubt
Phyllis did not hesitate to go to Los Angeles, California. She wanted to be with him after he learned about the sudden, unexpected death of his oldest son Keemo Volien Abbott Nguyen (Philip Moon).
Stafford’s character returned to LA after he was shocked by Diane’s announcement that she was still alive. She used his unknown connection to Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) to manipulate that reveal.
So, it is clear that Diane, not Phyllis, has stirred bad blood from the past. Walters’ character did that to Phyllis as well.
While Red is responsible for her reactions and made a mistake in naming her reconnection with Jack as a territorial marker, she is not Diane.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Should Wise Up
Jack is not required to continue a romantic revival with Phyllis. However, she deserves his friendship after offering her unwavering support to him during this most challenging time.
If Jack maintains his downward view of Phyllis, he stands to break trust with her.
Jack is allowed to make a mistake, which is what his behavior represents. But Jack better correct himself and at least make friendship amends with Phyllis.
