Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) updates Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) on the investigation. Jack and JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) butt heads while Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) continues grieving.
Kayla Johnson’s Struggle
DOOL spoilers reveal that on Monday, July 4, everyone will be preparing to say goodbye to Abigail.
Kayla has to write a eulogy but can’t seem to get the right words.
Even though this will be a struggle for Kayla, fans can trust that she will find the perfect way to say goodbye and honor Abigail at the funeral service.
DOOL Spoilers: Jack Deveraux’s Inquiry
The Salem Police Department is currently investigating Abigail’s murder. However, no matter how much Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) looks over the clues, he can’t seem to pinpoint a lead.
Not having any suspects in the murder will be incredibly frustrating for Abigail’s family.
It is teased that Jack will ask Steve if he has any leads. So, Steve must be looking into Abigail’s murder and seeing if he can find what the police can’t.
Comforting Chad DiMera
Days of Our Lives spoilers for Monday, July 4 reveal that Chad will continue mourning Abigail.
As he gets ready to say one final goodbye, Chad is comforted by many people. Two characters that come to help Chad are Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey).
Even if “Wilson” can give Chad some comfort, the widow will remain unsettled. Chad will have issues moving forward until Abigail’s killer is caught and brought to justice.
Even though there is an arrest during the week of July 4, it is only the first one. So, expect Chad to lose his temper when Rafe can’t seem to arrest the person who actually murdered his wife.
Chad will also continue trying to help Charlotte DiMera (Olivia and Oakley Rondou) and Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) deal with their mother’s sudden passing.
Chad managed to finally tell the children about Abigail’s death.
While Charlotte is too young to really understand, Thomas knows what death means.
Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) mentioned that Thomas wasn’t talking about it and was very focused on his toys. So, these will be issues Chad has to deal with after the funeral.

In Monday’s episode, fans can also expect Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) and Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) to return for the funeral.
