The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 13, reveals that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) will pay a surprise visit to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) while Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) vows to save Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) job.
At Society, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will break the news to Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) that there are no designs and that she’s dissolving her partnership with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to focus on her mental health.
Lauren won’t want to be insensitive, but she’ll point out that she took a chance on Chelsea – and Fenmore’s was awaiting the full winter line in the next couple weeks!
Chelsea will suggest that her designer friend in New York could take over for her.
Lauren will recognize the name and seem somewhat impressed, so she’ll decide to see how it goes.
At Chancellor-Winters, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will play his latest podcast episode for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).
That’ll bring praise for Billy’s good energy and positive message.
Billy will point out that he kept recording when Chelsea was giving him feedback, so he’ll play a little clip of that, too.
After Billy suggests people would like to hear that camaraderie along with the give and take, he’ll make a pitch to do his podcast with Chelsea as a co-host.
Once Billy gets approval, he’ll note that he just has to convince Chelsea.
Later, Billy will deliver the co-host proposal, so Chelsea will get on board since it sounds genuinely healing and fun.
After Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) confirms a dinner reservation for two, she’ll open her hotel suite door to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).
Once Imani mentions the meeting she’s pretending to have with Sally, Amanda will hint that she could tag along with Nate and Imani.
However, Imani will act like there’s no need for that – leaving Amanda to accuse her of finding every excuse to spend time with Nate, especially while Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) is out of town.
Imani will act offended over Amanda thinking she’d put the moves on Nate at a business dinner.
Once a text comes in about Naya Benedict’s (Ptosha Storey) minor seizure, Imani will send Amanda to be with their mom.
Afterward, Imani will meet Nate at Society and lie that Sally had to reschedule.
After Imani hopes Nate can stick around anyway, she’ll use Naya’s situation to score sympathy.
Nate will think it’s important to open up and have friends to lean on at a time like this.
At Newman Enterprises, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will express concern over how Ashland might react to the podcast slamming him.
Victoria will believe Ashland is dead in the business world and to anyone with any scruples.
Nick will still worry since Victor thinks Ashland is discreetly making his way to Genoa City, but Victoria won’t think there’s anything Ashland can do to hurt her again.
After Victoria discusses making Newman Media more cohesive, she’ll mention taking a proactive measure now that Adam has chosen to move on.
Victoria will think that Sally should follow suit, so Nick will ask if she wants to fire Sally.
Once Victoria points to Sally’s lack of experience, she’ll also note that Adam and Sally can’t be trusted.
Despite Victor’s desire to see Adam return to the company, Victoria will argue that she’s decided she doesn’t want him there.
Nick will end up offering to “feel out” Sally and see if Adam’s really walking away, so he’ll head to Sally’s office.
In Ashland’s hotel room, he’ll listen to The Grinning Soul’s latest podcast.
Billy’s disguised voice will trash Ashland for letting his young son believe he was going to die – all for a business deal.
After Adam shows up, he’ll think they should get honest about how they both want the same thing.
Adam will admit there was a time when he hated Ashland for what he did to his family, but that was before they made it crystal clear that he was dispensable.
Since Adam will be tired of getting pushed aside and used, he’ll insist he’s done with every single one of them.
Adam will work to convince Ashland that he understands his perspective regarding the hypocritical Newmans.
Ashland will realize maybe they really do want the same thing, so Adam will confirm that it’s to take down their enemies and will wonder when they start.
Ashland will ask if Adam can really commit, so Adam will reiterate his desire to make Victoria and Victor pay.
At Newman Media, Victor will stop by and push for info on what Adam’s planning, but Sally will assure him that she doesn’t know.
Sally will also want a chance to prove herself to Victor, but he’ll think she can do that by convincing Adam to return as Newman Media’s CEO.
After Sally realizes this is basically an offer she can’t refuse, Victor will smile and urge her to have a nice day.
Next on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Victor will convince Victoria that Sally is essential and could lure Adam back to Newman Media.
Victoria will propose a clean sweep with someone fresh running that division instead.
When Adam crosses paths with Nick outside Newman Media, he’ll question his brother’s business with Sally.
Nick will admit he thinks Victoria’s going to cut Sally loose unless Adam comes back to Newman Media, so Adam will offer to be COO so that Sally can remain in charge.
After Nick argues that’s not going to fly, Adam will at least want a chance to talk to Victoria before Nick discusses anything with Sally.
Once Adam enters Sally’s office, he’ll get updates on her meeting with Victor.
Sally will insist that Victor implied her days were numbered unless she convinced Adam to come back as Newman Media’s CEO.
Adam will fume over Sally getting dragged into typical Newman games and will assure Sally that she’s not going anywhere.
After Adam vows to take care of it, Sally will ask how. Adam will reply that Sally doesn’t want to know, so that’ll obviously spark some concern.
Back with Ashland, he’ll waltz in Victoria’s office and find her with Victor.
Ashland will be glad he found them together since he’ll have some things he wants to say.
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that some Ashland bombshells are still to come, so don’t miss what’s brewing.
