The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, July 18, reveals that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) called Li Finnegan’s (Naomi Matsuda) phone while Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) suspected con man Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan).
At the hideout, Mike Guthrie (Ken Hanes) returned with John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) medication and accused Sheila of killing her own son again.
Sheila argued that she simply gave Finn a sedative, but Mike was growing increasingly uncomfortable with this whole situation.
After Li’s “accident” came up, Sheila said she’d scoured the Internet for updates and found no news of her body or the truck.
Sheila then demanded Mike’s phone so she could call Li, but the call went to voicemail.
That didn’t surprise Mike since dead people didn’t usually answer their phones.
Mike also pointed out that Finn wouldn’t be happy about Sheila sedating him, but she acted like she could fix everything once she reunited him with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot).
However, Mike complained about the threat of prison and acted like it was time for Sheila to cut her losses.
After Mike said they could be good together, Sheila realized he wanted her to run away with him and leave Finn to die.
Although Sheila seemed appalled, Mike said Finn already had a death certificate and thought maybe it was best to “just let it be.”
Finn was waking up by then, so he overheard and realized he needed to get out of there before it was too late!
In Taylor Hayes’ (Krista Allen) office on Monday’s B&B episode, “Dr. Deacon” convinced her to open up about Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) destiny.
Taylor eventually confessed that maybe this “Bridge” they’re building is burning to the ground day by day – all because the woman who claims she wants to save it is playing with matches.
Deacon seemed glad over Taylor confiding in him, so Taylor suggested it was good to commiserate.
After Deacon admitted to not having any other friends besides Taylor now, he offered a shoulder if she ever needed one to lean on.
Meanwhile, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) was pleased to find Brooke and Ridge looking cozy at her mom’s place.
However, Ridge ruined the mood by acting like Deacon might still be in contact with Sheila and refusing to believe anything Hope’s dad claimed
Hope defended Deacon to Ridge, who ultimately settled down.
Although Brooke was concerned over Sheila’s next move, Ridge insisted she wasn’t going to hurt anyone in his family ever again.
At Il Giardino, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) said Bill “picked a hell of a restaurant” and was creeped out since they were feet away from where Steffy and Finn got shot.
Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) still couldn’t fathom how someone could do something like that.
Bill argued that he knew there’d be trouble when Sheila showed back up.
After Bill found out about Ridge’s security boost, he was impressed by “The Dressmaker.”
The conversation shifted to Steffy’s time away with the kids and how it was a good thing with Sheila on the loose.
Liam knew the loss of Finn was enormous and would continue to take a toll.
As for Bill’s view of Deacon, he argued that once a con man, always a con man.
Bill suspected Deacon might still be in touch with Sheila, but Liam said Deacon seemed pretty disenchanted with Sheila according to Hope.
Liam was just eager for Sheila to be locked up so that when Steffy came home with the kids, she could start rebuilding her life.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Steffy and Finn will get a second chance at happiness down the road, but more struggles are brewing in the meantime.
