General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 19, reveals that Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) testified about Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) bar bust while Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (temporarily played by Robert Adamson) heard their baby’s heartbeat.
At GH, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) dropped hints about her date until Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) realized it was “parachute guy” aka Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).
Britt admitted it was probably going to be a disaster.
At the boxing gym, Cody found Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Michael as they wrapped up their sparring session.
When Cody found out Britt was Willow’s OB-GYN, he commented on it being a small world.
Dante explained to Michael about the parachute incident, so Michael recalled seeing the viral video.
In the steam room, Dante suggested warning Cody off Britt only made him more interested in her.
Cody rattled off several great reasons to be attracted to Britt and thought Dante should try being happy over his date.
Back at GH, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) filled Willow in on her elevated white blood cell count and his belief that it wasn’t related to her pregnancy.
Willow seemed to think TJ was holding back on a potential diagnosis, but he reassured her and mentioned scheduling some follow-up tests.
Michael met up with a distracted Willow ahead of her OB-GYN appointment, but Willow left him out of the loop on TJ’s news.
After Britt got Willow set up in an exam room, she let Willow and Michael hear the fetal heartbeat.
Once Willow held Michael’s hand and heard the first sign of their baby, she seemed a bit calmer.
Even so, Michael once again checked on Willow after her appointment, but Willow insisted she was never better.
Back with TJ, he was glad to get some positive updates from Britt regarding Willow’s pregnancy, but he wanted to discuss her case with Britt in private.
At Wyndemere, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) spelled out the whole story of how he believed Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) pulled off the cabin video scandal – including drugging Trina’s hot toddy.
Spencer felt that Esme could get Trina off the hook without implicating herself.
Trina’s freedom was the only path to Esme’s birth mother according to Spencer, but he warned her not to take too long to decide.
Esme fired back that if it came down to choosing her mother or hurting Spencer the way she’d been hurt, he shouldn’t be so certain of what she’d choose.
In the courtroom, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) made an impassioned speech on the stand about how Trina had been her friend since middle school and always had her back.
Joss acted like Trina wouldn’t even know how to get a black-market phone and accused Esme of plotting the video scandal instead.
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) also tried to help with her testimony since Trina had been so cooperative.
Confused Trina pulled the identical phone out of her bag on her own, so Jordan pointed out she wasn’t behaving like a guilty criminal.
Rory was called to the stand next and had to answer questions about finding Trina at the bar with Josslyn, where they’d spoken to the bartender.
The ADA used this to highlight the fact that Trina indeed knew how to get a black-market phone – unlike Joss suggested.
However, Diane Jenkins (Carolyn Hennesy) took her turn with Rory and used her questions to convey what actually happened.
Josslyn and Trina were there trying to get the bartender to identify Esme, the person they believed was responsible for this mess.
After the judge adjourned, Trina walked out with all her supportive loved ones.
Josslyn wished her words hadn’t been twisted, but Trina knew her friend was only trying to help.
Curtis suggested reasonable doubt was created and gave Jordan a nod since she did her part for Trina.
Rory also offered Trina a slight smile before she got more reassurance from Portia.
General Hospital spoilers say Trina will brace for another day of trial soon, so stay tuned!
