Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 21, reveals that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) attacked Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) and scored a governor’s pardon. Orpheus (George DelHoyo) also pulled off a blackmail victory, so here’s how all the Days drama went down.
In the town square on Thursday’s DOOL episode, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) tried to scamper away after witnessing Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) kiss with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman).
Chanel spotted Allie and called out to apologize, but Johnny wasn’t sorry about what his sister saw.
In fact, Johnny admitted his latest marriage proposal and took Allie’s punch to the gut as a result.
After the twins bickered and pushed Chanel to make a decision, she asked to sleep on it and took off.
Once Johnny was alone with Allie, he admitted to missing their friendship.
Allie missed Johnny as well, so they agreed they’d be fine no matter what Chanel decided and embraced.
At home, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) learned Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) had invited a special guest for a fancy dinner.
Governor Mitchell (Richard Bramhall) showed up, so Paulina hoped he could endorse Abe for governor in the next election since Mitchell would be out of office soon.
At Statesville, Kristen called Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) to schedule a visit with Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater), but Brady put it off and admitted their daughter was still in California.
Since Rachel was having such a wonderful time with Theresa Donovan (Jen Lilley) and Tate Black (Colin and Kyle Schroeder) on their trip, she begged Brady to stay longer.
Kristen fumed over Theresa playing mom to her child and wound up punching the wall following the phone call.
That put Kristen in the infirmary where Evan worked, so they clashed until they found common ground over missing their kids.
Unfortunately, Evan let something slip and clued Kristen in on the fact that he had a way out of there.
Kristen grabbed Evan forcefully and threatened to stab his eye with a pencil, so he offered updates on Orpheus’ plan.
While at Abe and Paulina’s place, Governor Mitchell took a phone call from Milo Harp aka Orpheus and learned he got the number from the governor’s personnel file.
Orpheus hinted about another file that wasn’t buried as deep as the governor thought, so Governor Mitchell asked what he wanted.
After bailing on Paulina’s dinner due to an emergency, Governor Mitchell showed up at Statesville.
Orpheus made it clear that he expected a pardon and wanted one for Evan, too.
Once Evan delivered a written message from Kristen, Orpheus complained about his son’s stupid move and had to adjust the terms of his deal with the governor.
At the townhouse, Belle Brady (Martha Madison) was down in the dumps over her Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) situation, but Brady offered a pep talk and thought she could accept the baby in time.
Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) also spoke to Shawn at home and worked to convince him that he should forgive Belle.
Although Chloe wasn’t excusing Belle’s betrayal with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), she knew it had to be hard watching Shawn and Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) bond over the baby.
Chloe believed Shawn and Belle belonged together, so he ultimately called Belle to ask if they could meet up and talk.
Soon after, Belle arrived to see Shawn and seemed hopeful.
Back with Paulina and Abe on Thursday’s Days episode, they debated whether he should pursue running for governor.
Abe eventually decided maybe Paulina had the right idea.
Once Governor Mitchell began a press conference, Abe and Paulina watched as he revealed full pardons for Orpheus and Evan.
At the townhouse again, Chloe and Brady turned to the right channel in time to hear that Kristen was also being pardoned.
