General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of August 1-5 teases that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will deal with bad news along with her colleagues. Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will also take the next medical steps while Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) faces a spin-out, so here’s what viewers can expect.
At GH, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will throw his support behind Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) as she returns to work.
However, the day will take an intriguing turn when Finn mentions something and triggers a memory.
While Liz potentially starts working through some buried trauma, Willow will learn she might have leukemia.
After deciding not to tell Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) yet, Willow will speak with Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) ahead of a bone marrow biopsy.
At the courthouse, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will get on the stand and tell the jury her side of the story.
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will do her best to make Trina look innocent, which is good considering that she really is!
Next, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will make a bold move to gather some new information.
The clock is ticking, so Curtis will work fast and hope he can take another step toward clearing Trina’s name.
Over with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), she’ll overhear Michael’s suspicious phone call and ask for Damian Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) help on a case later.
Will Sam want Spinelli to help her dig into what Michael’s plans are?
Regardless, Sam may fear Michael’s targeting Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and grow concerned about Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) getting dragged into the mess.
At Wyndemere, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) fight will bring deadly danger.
Since Esme will shut down the idea of saving Trina, Ava will be even more furious.
If Ava ends up reading the letter that Esme’s trying to hide, it could click a lot of pieces in place.
Ava may find out Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) is Esme’s biological father and hit the roof.
As for Esme, the only place she’s going is probably over the parapet! Ava seems poised to toss her off it right as Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) returns home.
That could lead to Nikolas exploiting the situation since he’ll have some info to hold over Ava.
Nikolas may promise to keep his mouth shut about Esme’s fate – but only if Ava sticks with their marriage.
Since Sasha is still pushing Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) away, he’ll rely on Sonny for advice.
Sasha will also run into Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) at the Metro Court Gardens, so Nina may notice her bizarre behavior and suspect she’s using drugs again.
Afterward, the police will be called to the Metro Court to deal with an altercation. Will Sasha get caught up in that?
Whatever the case, a scandal seems to be on the verge of erupting since Felty (Brian Norris) is in cahoots with Grant Smoltz (David Lautman) on a new story.
Sasha wasn’t on drugs when she ran down Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel), but the world may soon think she did thanks to Felty and Smoltz.
Sonny will later have a job for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to do. If Felty dares to cross Sonny again and Sonny finds out about it, he could send Dex to kill him.
Since Sonny wants Dex to prove himself anyway, this may be a good opportunity to put him to the test.
A worried Maxie, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) may all feel like Deception is in crisis mode.
If Sasha gets arrested or even just sparks another scandal, she may lose her job as the face of the company.
Back with Jordan, she’ll grill someone in police custody. Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) will remain a key player in Trina’s case, so Jordan may finally get a chance to ask questions if he awakens.
Meanwhile, Britt will have another irritating encounter with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), but he’ll wish she’d give him one more chance.
Across town, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will discuss the results of their wager.
Alexis and Gregory should bicker as usual, but it’s easy to see that a spark is starting to develop here.
