General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, August 1, reveals that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) witnessed Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) fall off the parapet while TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) had some potential leukemia news for Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).
At the courthouse, Nikolas pointed out that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) had jeopardized his freedom through his confession on the stand.
Although Nikolas wanted to make a confession of his own, Spencer insisted it’d have to be later.
Nikolas wanted Spencer to hear this from him, but he ended up heading back to Wyndemere after a phone call regarding the commotion.
That commotion was caused by Esme and Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) escalating fight.
Ava warned it was the end of the line for Esme if she didn’t clear Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) name.
Esme refused and acted like Ava was so protective of Trina because she drove Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) to her death.
Ava slapped Esme, who insisted she wasn’t afraid of her.
Even so, Ava detected some fear mixed with rage when she picked up Esme’s dropped envelope, which contained a letter Esme had written to Maggie Fitzgerald.
Esme attacked Ava in hopes of getting that letter back, so they had a major brawl all over the room.
That brawl eventually led them out on the turret, where Ava shoved Esme during the struggle.
Esme went hurling over the parapet right as Nikolas arrived to witness the horror.
Back in the courtroom, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) felt that Trina had to be the heroine in her own story as she took the stand.
Trina understood when Diane suggested she’d have to adjust her line of questioning based on what Spencer revealed.
During Trina’s testimony, she said she stayed silent about her alibi because she didn’t want to get Spencer in trouble.
Diane eventually got Trina to admit it wasn’t Cameron Webber (William Lipton) she had feelings for at the cabin.
Trina had feelings for Spencer, who smiled over her confirmation.
At the Metro Court pool, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) noticed a couple of women checking out Mac Scorpio (John J. York) as he emerged from the pool.
After Felicia marked her territory with a kiss, she talked to Mac about their career goals and the void The Floating Rib’s destruction had left in their lives.
Since Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) was juggling so many cases, Felicia thought she could take over the one about finding someone’s biological parents.
Felicia suggested she didn’t have a personal connection to the case and felt she could be helpful.
Meanwhile, Sam caught Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) on a phone call regarding Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) background check, but she only overheard him snarling to get it done today.
Sam assumed this was about Aurora’s latest crisis, so Michael pretended she was right.
Michael also admitted Willow’s pregnancy and that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) already knew.
Sam was initially surprised that Dante hadn’t told her, but Michael pointed out that he was busy playing peacemaker and dealing with a lot at work.
At GH, Willow couldn’t pry anything out of TJ before he met with an oncologist, who confirmed he thought TJ’s diagnosis was spot-on.
Willow caught the two of them talking and once again pushed TJ for the truth, so TJ confessed his fear that she had leukemia.
Over with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), it was her first day back at work.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) pointed out it was OK if Liz needed more recovery time and let it slip that he loved her.
Liz was taken aback and had to deal with a patient, but she later returned and planted a kiss. After Elizabeth told Finn she loved him too, he was over the moon.
Next, Liz was in the stairwell when she had a disturbing memory flash.
Once Liz remembered seeing Peter following his tumble, she dropped everything she was holding and sat down on the steps looking rattled.
