General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, August 5 – Maxie Fears Sasha Fired – Brando Saves Wife from Prison – Dante Suspects a Con

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, August 5, tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will fear Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) is fired while Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) is more worried about saving his wife from prison. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will also suspect a con, so let’s discuss the hot GH drama ahead.

For starters, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will urge Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to stop pursuing a dead end, but that might be his attempt to dodge questions about his issues with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).

Regardless, Sam will hope for some help with a case, so we’ll see if Spinelli is willing and able to assist her.

In the meantime, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) will meet with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to see who came out on top.

Alexis made a wager with Gregory regarding his op-ed and the feedback at The Invader, so she’ll see what the readers have to say and let them decide who’s victorious.

Next, Dante will find Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) at the Metro Court pool, so Chase will quiz his old partner.

Chase will wonder if there’s a chance he’s getting back on the force, but Dante may not have firm answers for him just yet.

Dante will be much more interested in hearing about Chase’s pursuit of pop stardom and this fishy plan he’s got going with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).

It won’t be long until Dante corners Brook Lynn alone and admits he knows a con when he sees one.

Brook Lynn may admit there’s indeed a plot in motion, but she may be wary of offering up too many details about Linc Brown’s (Dan Buran) takedown.

It seems like Brook Lynn constantly finds ways to drag Chase into trouble, so she won’t want to add to his list of problems.

Speaking of problems, Sasha has more of her own now that she’s suffered a mental break and smashed Grant Smoltz’s (David Lautman) car windshield to smithereens.

Since Sasha got arrested and had to spend the night in lockup, Brando will remain deeply concerned.

Of course, Brando’s priority will be keeping Sasha out of the slammer, but he apparently won’t like the option Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) first presents.

Martin will insist he can only think of one other way to keep Sasha out of prison, but Brando may not like that either.

It seems like Sasha’s best bet would be to go with a defense related to her mental state and do a stint at a psychiatric facility.

However, Martin may admit there are no guarantees and that Sasha could still wind up at Pentonville.

Another option might be having Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) pull some strings behind-the-scenes and threaten the right people to make this go away.

Smoltz could become a target just like Felty (Brian Norris) did, so this smug reporter had better watch his back!

Over with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), she’ll hint that it might be time for a major change.

Maxie will worry that Lucy’s talking about pushing Sasha out as the Face of Deception, but it’s honestly a reasonable decision to make.

Sasha already had a shady past when she got this job, but then she mowed down Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel), hallucinated her dead son on a home shopping channel and got arrested after destroying property.

It just seems like Sasha isn’t the right person to be promoting Deception’s products at this point – not to mention she can barely function.

Maxie may think they should keep Sasha’s spot open for when she’s rehabilitated, but Lucy may not think that’s a wise business move.

Although Lucy will feel for Sasha, she’s got a company to run and shareholders to appease.

Maxie may hate the idea of kicking Sasha while she’s down, but Lucy should be tempted to cut her loose.

Brook Lynn will have an opportunity to weigh in as well, so we’ll see what the future holds for Sasha’s career.

The most important thing is making sure Sasha gets the help she needs, so Brando will do everything he can to make that happen.

As for Cody, he’ll find Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and hope they can talk.

Britt will wish Cody would just take no for an answer, but he’ll want to apologize again and plan a do-over date.

Although Britt won’t just forgive and forget, Cody might make some progress in making amends.

Spinelli won’t be happy about that since he knows about Cody’s deception, so he’ll secretly try to sabotage Cody soon enough.

General Hospital spoilers say Britt may eventually find herself falling for Cody despite all his flaws, so stay tuned for more of this romantic mess.
