Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 9, reveals that Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) demanded that Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) stay sedated. Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) also bargained with Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) custody, so here’s how all the DOOL action played out.
In Li’s hotel suite, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) wished she could’ve had more time with Stefan. As for Li, Gabi felt like he was hiding something and admitted she’d been jumping to conclusions.
After Gabi opened up to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) about all this, he confessed his own jealousy issues. Although Gabi acknowledged Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) had an unbreakable bond, she felt that they’d tried and failed at marriage.
Outside the pub, Nicole quizzed Eric about his date before Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) appeared and made things awkward. Once Jada headed inside with Eric, Nicole spied through the window while on crutches.
After Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) ordered Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) to get some contract updates, Chloe caught up with Nicole. Since Nicole had the info with her, she suggested going inside the pub to go over it.
That led to Nicole spotting Jada as she headed upstairs with Eric, so she assumed they were going to sleep together. Chloe wasn’t so sure about that, but she acted like it shouldn’t matter to Nicole now that she was married to Rafe anyway.
Next on Tuesday’s Days episode, Jada and Eric flirted as he showed her a room that was available to rent. After confirming that she could change out the artwork, Jada asked how soon she could move in and got a key.
Once Eric and Jada returned downstairs, Chloe and Nicole learned Eric was showing her a place to rent. Although that was better than the two of them sleeping together, Nicole didn’t seem happy about Jada living under the same roof as Eric.
At the bistro, Jada and Eric got their date off to a nice start. After Jada opened up about her own failed marriage, she shared a fun toast with Eric as they focused on new beginnings.
As for Belle Brady (Martha Madison), she told Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) she wanted to move back in – though they agreed to stay in separate rooms for now. Even so, Shawn and Belle were hopeful about this first step forward together.
In Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) lab, Li talked about finding the slush fund and figuring out it was being used for Stefan’s resurrection. Li took over funding the operation and thought the rise of Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) namesake would surely be worth something.
However, Li wasn’t pleased about Dr. Rolf keeping secrets. Thanks to newly installed security cameras, Li knew Dr. Rolf smuggled Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) into the lab with Kristen’s help.
Dr. Rolf admitted Jake’s heart was successfully transplanted into Stefan’s body, so Li acted impressed. That said, Li needed Stefan to have a setback now.
Dr. Rolf put his fists up ready to fight and thought Li meant killing Stefan. Fortunately, Li just meant keeping Stefan on ice for a while – just until he could figure out how to deal with this personally and professionally.
After Li talked about his involvement with Gabi, he reminded Dr. Rolf that his funding could dry up – leaving him unable to continue his important work.
Dr. Rolf understood what was at stake and had no problem keeping Stefan sedated since it’d give him more time to heal. The real issue was Kristen, who honestly scared Dr. Rolf. Li realized Kristen was a wildcard, but he made it clear that he was really the one to be afraid of.
When Li returned to his hotel suite, he was glad to see Gabi was making herself at home. Gabi admitted she wanted to see where their relationship could go, so Li was over the moon.
At the townhouse, Brady offered to adjust Rachel’s custody arrangement if Kristen would resign from Basic Black. If Kristen would leave Brady and Chloe alone, he wouldn’t fight her on sharing custody.
Since Kristen had been pardoned, she told Brady to take his deal and shove it. Brady decided he’d see Kristen in court then, but she was confident she could win and was looking forward to it.
Once Kristen returned to the lab on Tuesday’s Days episode, she was upset to learn Stefan needed more time under sedation. Dr. Rolf acted like Stefan’s vitals weren’t what he wanted, so there’d be a delay in waking him up.
