General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of August 15-19 teases that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will work with a new partner in crime while Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) smells trouble. Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will also need her dad’s help, even if she’s not willing to admit it just yet.
At GH, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) will mull over Liz’s worsening issues.
After Elizabeth has another traumatic flashback, Finn will get in touch with a face from her past.
That’ll most likely be Liz’s father, Jeff Webber (last played by Richard Dean Anderson).
Meanwhile, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will wake Oz Haggerty (Max Faugo) up fast and see what he can recall about the black-market phone he sold to Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
It’s clear that Portia will have to work fast since Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) verdict is about to come in.
Once Trina receives news of that verdict’s arrival, she’ll head to the courthouse and encounter Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).
Spencer has to report to Pentonville in two weeks so he can begin his three-month stint, but his focus will be on Trina and her own freedom for now.
Part of Spencer will want to pour his heart out to Trina and let her know the depth of his love.
Another part of Spencer will realize Trina is already overwhelmed, so he’ll struggle with the idea of overwhelming her even more.
Based on some down-the-road spoilers that feature Trina and Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) bonding, it seems Spencer may keep things bottled up – and then it looks like Trina may walk free.
As for the topic of missing Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), Nikolas will deceive Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and claim he permanently eliminated Esme himself.
Of course, Victor is a smart guy and may eventually wonder if Nikolas is covering for Ava.
Later, Nikolas and Ava will score a surprising accomplice.
Someone unexpected will be in a position to help Ava and Nikolas, but would Victor really be unexpected?
It’s possible depending on how you want to look at it, but there’s also a chance Ava and Nikolas will conspire with someone truly shocking.
After Cameron Webber (William Lipton) meets Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and has a creepy feeling about him, Sonny will speak with his newest hire privately.
There’ll be some signs of trouble in Dex’s past, so Sonny will apparently confront him with his background check.
Sonny will also enjoy a hot date with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), who’ll eventually get into a full-blown brawl with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Carly and Nina will once again have a heated faceoff that gets out of hand.
Over with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), she’ll sense that Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) are becoming more than friends.
Carly may get grilled about exactly where things stand in her relationship with Drew.
Next, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will push Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) to help her uncover what Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is hiding.
Valentin will also have to deal with more Victor drama and will try to convince his father that Anna is no longer a threat.
As for Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), she’ll have a big surprise in store for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) – one that could give his career a big boost.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will be busy continuing her matchmaking efforts for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), but that could get trickier due to Cody’s issues with Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) boyfriend.
Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will feel like he should tell Lucy about Cody’s existence, so he may drop the bomb about Dominique Stanton’s (Shell Danielson) firstborn son soon.
Elsewhere, the tension between Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) will thaw even further.
However, Gregory and Alexis’ conflict has always had a rather playful vibe, so it’s not surprising that these two are connecting.
Across town, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will feel Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) pulling away from him, so he’ll start to worry that he blew it by asking her to live together.
Fortunately, Olivia will have a plan to help in the not-too-distant future – and she’ll rope Brook Lynn into it.
Back at GH, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will receive horrible updates before confiding in TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow).
It sounds like Willow’s biopsy will confirm TJ’s leukemia fears, but he’ll try to stay optimistic and will urge her to lean on Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Finally, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will order Mason (Nathanyael Grey) to back off and respect boundaries.
Mason is Austin’s pest of a cousin, but the real problem is the boss they both work for – and she’s obviously not happy about Austin disobeying her orders.
