Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 30, reveals that Mr. Wei Shin (Clyde Kusatsu) derailed Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) and Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) passion while Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) custody fight took a nasty turn.
At the DiMera mansion on Tuesday’s DOOL episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) gave Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) updates on Ava DiMera’s (Tamara Braun) hallucination and instability.
After EJ explained how he could oust Ava as a shareholder, he revealed that he intended to go over Li’s head – meaning Mr. Wei Shin would be running this shareholders meeting.
At DiMera Enterprises, Gabi heard her name as Li wrapped up a call with Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton).
Li pretended he was on the phone with his father before things took a passionate turn with Gabi.
Unfortunately, Mr. Shin walked in on Gabi and Li while they were half-dressed on the desk.
That left Gabi uncomfortable and Mr. Shin furious, but Li did his best to take the blame.
Once Mr. Shin stomped off to freshen up after his flight, Gabi wondered why Li didn’t tell her his dad was in town – especially since he supposedly just got off the phone with him.
Li acted like Mr. Shin always showed up without warning to put him to the test.
While checking out Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) new plaque in the DiMera crypt, Ava heard a noise and thought maybe Jake was there.
It turned out to be Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), so Ava explained her recent “Jake” sighting and how it felt so real.
After Johnny responded with compassion, he made it clear that he had Ava’s back since she was both his friend and family.
Johnny then found EJ with Tony and thanked his father for being there for Ava – though Tony looked uneasy knowing what EJ was about to do.
In Dr. Rolf’s lab on Tuesday’s Days episode, Kristen was even more on edge than usual.
After Kristen heard about Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) escape and the close call with Ava, she pushed Dr. Rolf to resume his brainwashing procedure.
Dr. Rolf acted like the process couldn’t be rushed. Besides, there was no guarantee Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) would reciprocate Stefan’s feelings if their plan worked.
Kristen argued that it had to work since she needed to be with Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater).
Brady was trying to keep Kristen from Rachel, so she was determined to be a family again.
In the meantime, Brady grew concerned over Kristen’s push for full custody.
Since all Kristen’s crimes had been wiped away, Brady worried the court would side with Rachel’s biological mother.
Chloe admitted Kristen had committed another crime and recapped how she threatened to stab her with a letter opener – though she wasn’t sure how serious Kristen actually was.
Brady acted like Kristen was unhinged, so there was no way he was letting her around his daughter.
On a phone call to Kristen, Brady insisted his ex would never get near Rachel.
Chloe feared Brady had just made her even more of a target, but she vowed to testify and help make sure Kristen didn’t get custody rights.
Rachel appeared after playing nearby and asked why Chloe didn’t want her to be with her mommy.
Back with Dr. Rolf on Tuesday’s Days episode, he prepared his patient for programming and hinted that life as Stefan knew it would never be the same.
After Mr. Shin rounded everyone up for a new DiMera vote, EJ revealed that he wanted Ava disqualified as a shareholder and removed from the meeting – leaving Ava stunned.
