The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, September 6, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will blindside Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) remains drawn to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Imani Benedict (temporarily played by Denise Boutte) will also spur Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) down the wrong path, so let’s discuss what’s ahead on Y&R.
At the ranch, Adam will pay Victor a visit and deliver the news of his new Jabot position. When Victor finds out Adam accepted Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) co-CEO job, he’ll hit the roof.
Adam would much rather see Adam working with the Newmans where he belongs. The idea of Adam working with the Abbotts instead will be a full-blown betrayal in Victor’s eyes.
Victor will lash out at Adam and reserve some vitriol for Jack later. Although Adam claims to have moved on from revenge, the fact that Victor is so wound up should leave him tickled pink.
It’ll give Adam a sense of satisfaction knowing that he’s making his own way – and there’s nothing Victor can do to stop him.
Over with Nate, he’ll plan a bold move of his own. Denise Boutte will debut as a temporary Imani recast, so look for Nate to take her terrible advice as usual.
Imani is always encouraging Nate to take risks and prove his worth – whether Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) gives the green light or not.
Devon definitely hasn’t given Nate approval on Chancellor-Winters’ new music festival, but that won’t stop Nate from making all the preparations without his boss’ knowledge. Alarm bells will go off for Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) soon, but Imani will think Nate’s got the right idea.
As for Billy, he’ll remain drawn to Chelsea and get under Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) skin as a result. Billy will assure Lily that she has nothing to worry about, but she’ll feel like this is about getting his priorities in order.
It’s clear that Lily wants Billy to focus on his COO job as well as their own relationship. When Lily finds out Billy is spending more time with Chelsea – who recently stole a kiss from him – it’ll naturally create some tension.
Meanwhile, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will mull over their future. Despite their recent adoption snag, Tessa and Mariah will hopefully take Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) advice about not giving up.
Unfortunately, Tessa will run into some trouble at a fashion shoot during the week of September 5-9. That’ll bring some hurdles when it comes to Tessa’s new modeling career and drag Mariah into the drama as a result.
