The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 20, teases that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will admit to having a shameful LA secret while Talia Morgan’s (Natalie Morales) info offers a new Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) link.
At Crimson Lights, Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) will tell Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) that she has good news about the adoption.
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will join the conversation as Christine discusses a young expectant mom named Joss, who’s considering Mariah and Tessa as adoptive parents.
Christine will explain that Joss wants to form a bond with whoever ends up raising her child – and she’ll add that Joss has some communication requests.
Tessa and Mariah will be totally on board, so they’ll excitedly wait for Joss to email once the ball is in her court.
At Jabot, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will open up to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about assertive and glamorous Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), who has a history with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) and just showed up in town.
On Thursday’s Y&R episode, Jack will advise against any insecurity and urge Allie to give grief right back if Audra gives it first.
At Noah’s nightclub, Audra will show up and act like she just wanted to sit somewhere vibrant while she figured some things out.
Noah will still feel like Audra brings chaos wherever she goes, but Audra will complain since she hoped they could at least be civil.
That’ll irritate Noah since Audra made Allie feel insecure about their relationship.
Noah won’t want to play this game, but Audra will admit to missing Noah and hating what they lost.
After Audra suggests Noah misses her too, he’ll blast her for trying to get a reaction out of him.
Audra will act like Noah wouldn’t be so mad if there wasn’t something still between them.
Once Allie walks in, Noah will think her timing is perfect and will lean in for a kiss.
Audra will decide to head to Society, so Allie will hope she doesn’t see her again anytime soon.
At the ranch, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will meet up with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to discuss Diane.
Nikki will want to know the nature of Diane’s connection to Tucker in LA and will question how it’ll play out now that they’ve both returned to GC.
After Ashley explains the dinner that Tucker had to blow off, Nikki will think they have him right where they want him.
Phyllis will agree that Ashley needs to make Tucker chase her and jump through hoops.
Then, Nikki will suggest Ashley can pretend to reconnect.
Ashley won’t think that’s going to be easy since she can barely stand to be in the same room with Tucker, but Nikki will push Ash to hold her nose long enough.
After Ashley leaves, Talia will arrive for a surprise visit. That’ll lead to Talia admitting she found out the truth from her editor, who was pressured by someone with a lot of money and clout.
That person warned against any more Diane articles, so Nikki and Phyllis will assume Tucker was the one applying the pressure.
Since Talia will recognize Tucker’s name and act like he’s a big deal, she’ll seem even more excited about the book she’s writing and the Bentley angle.
At Society, Tucker will spot Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and invite her to sit with him.
After Tucker brings up the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) fiasco, Victoria will admit she’d prefer not to talk about it.
However, Victoria will gather that Tucker kept up with Genoa City business while he was away.
Tucker will note that Victoria likes to keep people guessing and will mention her recent acquisitions.
When Tucker suggests he used to like surprises like that, Victoria will question if that’s really changed.
Since Tucker has been selling off divisions, Victoria will hint that maybe he’s stockpiling cash in case there’s something he wants to acquire.
Tucker will act like he’s simplifying his life instead and will even suggest semi-retirement might be in his future – perhaps right there in Genoa City.
Once Ashley arrives, Victoria will head out and wish Tucker luck with the semi-retirement thing if it actually happens.
Ashley will struggle to believe Tucker’s going to take a step back since he always likes a challenge, but he’ll be focused on the challenge of proving he’s changed.
After Ashley agrees to join Tucker for lunch, she’ll fall into a nice banter with him.
Tucker will end up reflecting on Japan memories and how hard Ashley fought for him when it was on life support.
When Tucker suggests taking Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) to the park together sometime, Ashley will nix the idea and urge him not to push it.
Since Tucker got his do-over and Ashley heard him out, she’ll warn that it’ll take a lot more than that to prove he’s changed.
Next, Nikki will put a new plan in motion and summon Tucker to the ranch while Talia’s still there.
At Jabot, Diane will argue that Jack is distancing himself because of Phyllis and her convoluted story.
After Jack admits he doesn’t trust Diane and isn’t sure that’s ever going to change, she’ll rant about Phyllis pouring poison into his ear.
Nevertheless, Jack will point out that certain misgivings have risen to the surface – and his instincts will tell them that they’re not wrong.
Diane will stomp out of Jack’s open door and spot Phyllis, who’ll gloat after eavesdropping.
Phyllis will mention Talia being so excited about the Tucker connection updates.
It’ll just be a matter of time until Jack and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) learn Diane’s secret according to Phyllis.
Once Phyllis exits, Diane will sigh and tearfully enter Jack’s office again. Jack will seem taken aback as Diane says he’s right.
Diane will confess that there’s something she hasn’t told Jack about her time in Los Angeles – something she’s been too ashamed to admit.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack’s in for a shock, so stay tuned to Y&R!
