Tonight’s The Amazing Race episode begins in the capital of Jordan, Aman, it is one of the world’s oldest cities. Phill tells the teams that Abby and Will are eliminated because they tested positive for COVID. Phil tells the team although there will be no elimination on this leg when they arrive at the pit stop will determine when they leave on the next leg when teams will depart two couples at a time, when six couples have left the last couple will leave and it will be 45 minutes from the first couple to depart.
Teams have their clues and they must make their way to Maktabat Khazanet’s book store where they will find their next clue. Glenda & Lumumba are hoping they can catch up from their seventh place in the last leg.
Emily strained her quad muscle in one of the legs but is still pushing through.
When teams arrive in downtown Amman they find it tough because everything written is in Arabic. Marcus & Michael are in the first place, they found the bookstore. Next, it’s a Detour, in “Step by Step” teams must perform a Jordanian flirt dance. In “Letter by Letter” teams must memorize all 28 Arabic letters and recite them.
Aubrey & David get to dancing and they are the only team there. Emily & Molly have chosen the alphabet and they both know Hebrew, which they find is similar. Luis & Michelle make a mistake and actually find the Pit Stop and have to turn around.
Marcus & Michael do it, they recite the Arabic alphabet before all the other teams and get their next clue, its Roadblock “Who Is Feeling Broken Carted?” In this Roadblock, teams need to build a cart and roll it to the Pitstop.
Teams are really having a hard time learning the dance, even those who are professional dancers. Emily & Molly are in second place, they finished the alphabet as well.
Aubrey & David’s fish dancing has finished the dance, and so are Luis & Michelle.
Teams are now building the cart, while Derek & Claire finish the alphabet and Derek learned how to roll his r’s for the first time. All teams are building the carts expect for Glenda and Lumumba who had ah had time with the dancing.
When teams are finished building their carts they have to race to Roman Nymphaeum to meet Phil at the next pit stop.
Aubrey & David are on their way to the pit stop, Luis & Michelle as well, but their cart is falling apart and that doesn’t stop them, they arrive at the pit stop in first place. They have one Expedia reward points good for a trip for two to Barcelona. They have now won two legs back to back.
Aubrey & David are the second team at the Pit Stop. Marcus & Michael made a mistake, they paid too much attention to detail and lost a lot of time. Other teams arrived at the Pit Stop with their carts falling apart. Quinton & Mattie are team number three, Derek & Claire is team number four. Marcus & Michael are the fifth team, Emily & Molly the sixth.
Glenda is struggling to build the cart, Lumumba gives her support. They arrive last at the pit stop, they will leave 45 minutes after the first team leaves in the next leg.
