Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 27, reveals that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) got a serum blackmail shock while Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) got jealous as Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) hugged Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). Here’s how all the DOOL action played out.
At the townhouse on Thursday’s Days episode, Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) was dressed as a princess when she offered Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) some pumpkin pancakes, which Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) helped her make from scratch.
Kristen appeared in a queen costume as Rachel expressed excitement over Brady being a king.
Rachel asked if Marlena could be part of their royal family, so Kristen said that was up to her.
While Rachel was out of the room, Kristen insisted Marlena was treating her like an intruder.
Marlena disapproved of Kristen showing up without warning and admitted she felt bad for Chloe, but Kristen acted like it was Brady’s idea to dump her.
When Rachel returned, she asked if Marlena and Kristen were fighting.
Kristen insisted they were just waiting for Brady and wondered where he was along with John.
After John caught Brady searching through Kristen’s things in her bedroom, Brady claimed he was just looking for Rachel’s stuffed dog.
John didn’t buy that and kept pushing Brady to drop this flimsy cover story.
Once Kristen appeared, she realized Brady and John were talking about her. John acted like he could do whatever he wanted in his own home with his own son.
Kristen spoke with Brady alone and reminded him that the life-saving serum gave her the upper hand.
Since Brady had clearly been looking for the serum, Kristen said it was somewhere he’d never find it and added that Brady was under her thumb.
At Basic Black, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) was thrilled to see Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander), who wanted him to come to the Horton Town Scare.
Eric urged Holly to stop by afterward in her costume and share her candy instead.
Nicole Walker-Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) got a text and realized she had to work along with Eric, so Holly wondered who would take her trick or treating.
At the DiMera mansion, Chloe stopped by to return the sunglasses and shirts from her fake day at the beach with Stefan.
Chloe thought she should go since Stefan wanted a girlfriend, but she just wanted pretend trips to pretend beaches.
However, Stefan assured Chloe that he enjoyed spending time with her and convinced her to stay for breakfast.
Chloe smiled at the idea of pretending they were at the breakfast buffet in Miami and had croissants with Stefan until Nicole called.
Nicole asked if Chloe would take Holly to the Horton Town Scare, so Chloe insisted she’d love to and told Stefan this was her lucky day.
Stefan wanted to tag along and suggested they could use their beach outfits as costumes.
In Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) hotel suite, he spoke to Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) over the phone and flipped out over the drug Gabi was given.
Li fumed over Dr. Rolf telling Gabi the truth and felt the doc wouldn’t have had to erase her memory if he hadn’t blabbed.
Gabi overheard something about her being in attack mode, so Li made up an excuse and reassured her.
Talk turned to Stefan, but Gabi insisted she was going to concentrate on Li and swore she’d move on from her ex.
Li decided to take the morning off so he could attend the Horton Town Scare with Gabi and Arianna Horton (Lane Rosa), so he donned some cat ears to match Gabi’s.
Back with Kristen on Thursday’s Days episode, she made it clear that she was the one in charge.
However, Kristen hinted that Brady could gain some power over her and bring her to her knees now if he wanted.
Brady insisted that wasn’t happening and thought it was beneath Kristen to try to blackmail him into sleeping with her.
All Brady felt for Kristen was contempt, but she muttered to herself that he wasn’t going to win this one.
After Brady put on his king costume, he left for the festival with Kristen and Rachel.
John mulled over the situation and focused on Brady saying he was doing what was best for the people he loved – not just Rachel.
That led John to the conclusion that Kristen must’ve controlled the serum and used it to blackmail Brady.
Marlena was confused since Brady didn’t dump Kristen once she recovered along with Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow).
Regardless, John knew that Kristen was calling the shots and that Brady was doing everything he could to change that.
At Basic Black again, Nicole admitted more photos were needed, so she donned some lingerie for the next photoshoot.
Eric seemed transfixed by Nicole’s beauty and later watched her walk away like he was checking her out.
In the town square, Stefan and Chloe were with Holly when they crossed paths with Gabi, Li and Ari.
There was some awkwardness, especially once Gabi and Stefan wound up in a moment alone.
Nevertheless, Stefan insisted there was no need for small talk, so Gabi agreed with him and scowled.
Soon after, Gabi got updates from Chloe on her breakup and thought Stefan had wasted no time making his move.
While Gabi was checking on Arianna elsewhere, Li worried about her lingering connection to Stefan.
Over with Kristen, she pushed Brady to meet her halfway for Rachel’s sake.
Rachel had never been happier, but Kristen insisted she was making a sacrifice by living with disapproving Marlena and John.
Brady ran into Chloe at one point, but Kristen cozied up next to him and noted that Rachel was very happy they were a family again.
After Stefan told Chloe about his divorce, Chloe suggested that couldn’t be easy and pulled him into a hug.
Brady and Gabi were clearly jealous as they spied the embrace nearby, but Kristen told Li that it looked like they both got what they wanted.
